Room with a view
First and foremost a stunning view, from a reasonably sized apartment with a small second bedroom, nice wooden ceilings, two decently sized balconies, with a small garden. Friendly host who is not always present on the property. Giulio gave us delicious figs from the tree!
On the downside, no AC, in sunny and hot weather (daytime highs were 36 Č) it gets very hot because directly under roof, therefore windows wide open out of necessity. No screens on doors or windows to protect from the many insects, mosquitoes and a hornet. Table fan didn't work, no replacement on request, fortunately at least we had one along. At night, it was keep the windows open and lights off to not suffer the heat or an invasion of insects. Even so, the heat in the apartment was formidable. At least the balconies and most windows face North.
No wifi, no dishwasher, no toaster, no cutting board, no spatula. Again, no wifi.
The garden behind the house is small, sloping and not easily usable for kids, also because of the aggressive mosquitoes,
All in all it was a nice stay, with above drawbacks, but then there was the fantastic view and the beautiful location that made up for everything.
