Beyond the garden lies a pony paddock, offering a picturesque backdrop with views towards Shirley and Hollington.
The immediate surrounding area of Rodsley offers a wealth of activities and attractions to enhance your holiday experience. Lace up your walking shoes and explore the stunning countryside surrounding Rodsley along some of the many public footpaths. The walk to Osmaston through Shirley Woods is a particular beauty, and with a drink at the local pub when you get there. Nearby, the Yeaveley Estate offers countryside pursuits including clay pigeon shooting. Longford Lakes is the perfect destination for any avid angler and Wheelwright’s Cottage sits on cycle route 68, popular with cyclists. For golfers, Ashbourne and Brailsford Golf clubs are within a 5-minute drive and the renowned Kedleston Park Golf Club is 15 minutes away. Beyond Ashbourne, take a leisurely stroll along the nearby trails, such as the Tissington Trail or at Dovedale and soak in the natural beauty of the Peak District National Park. If you’re an adventure enthusiast, you’ll find plenty to do in the area. Engage in exhilarating activities such as cycling, horseback riding, or even hot-air ballooning to appreciate the breath-taking views from above. Further afield, don’t miss a visit to Alton Towers, Chatsworth House or the stunning Heights of Abraham, a hilltop park with caves and a cable car ride.
