Nature Cabin on private estate and Coast Barcelona with Wellness.

This cosy wooden nature cabin among the trees on a private property is located on the Maresme coast 40km from Barcelona city centre. Here you will find peace, nature, views of the Mediterranean Sea and in the distance from the terrace even the skyline of Barcelona.
The surroundings
Our property is located next to the vast Montnegre y el Corredor natural park. This natural park is known as a paradise for mountain bikers (nowadays mainly e-bikes because of the large height differences). The area also has beautiful narrow mountainous winding roads making cycling very popular. From our location, it is about a 5-minute drive to the beach and seaport of Port Balis where various water sports are offered and where many nice restaurants can be found. In addition, our site is close to a Golf Club and there are several other Golf Clubs nearby. There are also many Tennis and especially Padel courts nearby where the pleasant climate allows you to play outdoors all year round. The train station is on the beach and a 5-minute drive away. From there you can take the train, which runs along the coast, to the centre of Barcelona in about 45 minutes.
The Costa Brava starts at 35 km and offers many opportunities for surprising day trips along the beautiful coast with its rugged cliffs, hidden coves and turquoise waters or the picturesque medieval villages inland.
For enthusiasts, there are many MX circuits nearby and the Formula 1 circuit of Catalunya is 30 km away. Visiting vineyards and wine tasting in a gastronomic setting is possible in Allella 20 km away, the Emporda or in the more distant Priorat. There is also the Penedès, a sub-region of Catalonia 90 km away, which is known for its cava (sparkling wine) and offers interesting wine experiences. Or enjoy the soothing thermal baths in nearby Caldes d´Estrac that have a long history dating back to Roman times.
Another popular destination for those who love hiking is Montserrat: The Montserrat mountain massif is a breathtaking destination known for its unique rock formations and the Monastery of Montserrat. Take the cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoy the stunning views, visit the Basilica of Montserrat and discover the famous Black Madonna, a sacred symbol for Catalonia.
What is also well worth a visit are the region's botanical gardens such as those in Blanes, Barcelona, Cambrils and Calella de Palafrugell. Or the unique natural park Cap de Creus - this coastal area is full of weird and wonderful rock formations, said to have inspired the famous painter Salvador Dalí in his work.
In short, there are very many possibilities given the location between Barcelona and the Costa Brava. And then it is always lovely to come back to the peace and quiet of our little paradise where you can get away from the crowds and play a game of jeux-de-boules, relax in the Bali bed, take a splash in the pool or simply enjoy the view with a good glass of wine.
The Cabin
This unique nature cabin has a Weber BBQ, covered outdoor terrace with dining table, its own jeux-de-boules court and plenty of space around it to put loungers to enjoy the peace and quiet and the view. There is an open kitchen with cooking island with everything you need including a fridge and freezer, nesspresso machine, kettle, toaster, pots and pans so you can enjoy extensive cooking in peace. There is also a washing machine and dryer.
The living room has a spacious dining table and sitting area with smart TV (Chromecast). The bathroom is also spacious and has a walk-in shower. There are two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other can be set up as a double bed or two single beds. The second bedroom can also be set up as a workspace and has a desk with sea views. Wi-Fi (fibre optic) is available, making the place suitable for remote-work. The total area of this spacious nature cabin is around 120m2.
Our site is completely fenced and 22,000m2 but due to the relatively large height differences, it is not suitable for guests with limited mobility. If there are heavy suitcases or groceries, help can always be provided by driving up with the Polaris Quad or a Golf Cart..
We welcome our guests to walk around freely, except for the private area of the main building. There is direct access to the grounds and this takes you from the chicken coop, to the Bali bed, the pool, the Tiki Bar, Jeux de Boules and the vegetable garden. All these areas are shared with us and our guests. The pool is normally closed between November and the end of April - depending on the weather. During this period the hottub and sauna are available against a small cost for wood, bathrobe etc.
We are a Dutch couple who came to Spain about 10 years ago. Before coming to Spain, we have lived in the Netherlands, England, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Belgium, Germany and France. But the Mediterranean part of Spain captured our hearts. So we finally settled here. We love nature, animals and peace and quiet, as well as good cooking, food and wine. We live here with our 2 dogs, 3 cats and 11 chickens that provide fresh eggs daily.... Although our dogs are friendly and loving we recommend that you as a guest are comfortable with dogs as they roam freely on the property and may greet you regularly.
Our house is located between two nearby villages but is in a rather secluded area accessible only via a forest road (500 metres). We recommend that our guests have a vehicle. Free parking is possible on or right next to the property. 
The Mediterranean climate makes it possible to play golf all year round. There are 55 golf courses in Catalunya, three of which are just around the corner (few minutes' drive). Many others, such as PGA Catalunya Golf and Wellness, within 45 minutes' drive. For more information on interesting day trips related to culture, nature or gastronomic experiences, just ask us. 
As we want to offer peace and quiet in a beautiful natural environment, parties or excessive noise that can be disturbing are not allowed. We prefer bookings from visitors who seek peace and quiet and want to enjoy beautiful excursions from here. We therefore prefer adult visitors - if there are children aged 12 or over, this is possible. We would like to point out that we cannot accept more people than indicated at the time of booking (maximum 4). This means that the use of the grounds including the swimming pool is only for the guests who have booked. And because we live in a protected natural park, open fires are not allowed.
