The Stables in Chidham, Sussex, sleeps two in one bedroom.
The Stables consists of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and a cafetiere, as well as a dining area with seating for four guests and a sitting area with sofa bed, full-HD Smart TV (Netflix and Amazon Prime enabled for existing account holders), and balcony with furniture. There is one super-king-size bedroom (zip/link, can be twin on request), along with a shower room. Outside there is secure off-road parking. Within 1.5 miles you will find a shop and within 0.2 miles, a pub and please note that this is a pet-free and non-smoking property. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, towels. hair dryer, ironing board and iron are all included in the price. The Stables is a great choice for a couples, whatever time of year. Note: Adults only. Town: In West Sussex settled beneath the spectacular and vast South Downs National Park is the lovely village of Chidham, a rural community nestled in the beautiful Chichester Harbour AONB with its peninsula protruding into Chichester Harbour. It’s the perfect location to explore all that the local area has to offer, from pretty towns and villages to spectacular natural coastline, beaches and the historic cities of Chichester and Portsmouth.
On the doorstep is all the natural beauty of Chichester Harbour and, whether you want to explore it on land or water there's plenty to see and do. The South Downs National Park is only a few miles to the North with its wealth of wildlife, walks, culture and heritage.
The nearest pub is just a short walk away, as is the harbour edge of Bosham Channel where you can join the shoreline path and walk around Chidham peninsula enjoying spectacular views across the Bosham and Thorney channels.
Nearby is the beautiful harbour village of Bosham with its historic church, sailing club, craft shops and quaint quayside. To the West is the pretty little harbour town of Emsworth with its local shops, cafés and pubs leading down to the quayside and sailing club. On the way to Emsworth you’ll pass through the village of Southbourne with its popular farm shop, perfect for buying provisions and sampling some locally sourced ingredients.
The Roman Villa in Fishbourne is just a short drive away and, beyond that the Cathedral City of Chichester where you’ll find of course the Festival Theatre, cafés, restaurants and plenty of shopping. For cultural explorers there is also the famous cathedral, Pallant House Art Gallery and The Novium museum built over the ruins of a Roman bathhouse.
You’ll find lovely beaches and seaside attractions in Wittering and Bracklesham, a scenic drive away, and on Hayling Island a short distance to the West. Further afield are historic Portsmouth and Southsea with all their local attractions and, to the East is the vibrant seaside town of Brighton.
Goodwood Estate, Racecourse and Motor Circuit are also within easy reach by car too. Goodwood aerodrome is home to the vintage Spitfires that you may see flying over the harbour in the summer and their Aerodrome Café is a great spot to watch comings and goings on the airstrip.
