Enchanting beaches of the finest sand, rolling hills covered with vineyards and centuries-old olive trees, Mediterranean landscapes of boundless beauty: in Menfi, one of Sicily’s most important wine-growing regions, stands Baglio di Verre, a splendid country house featuring a panoramic terrace with a view and a swimming pool. A stroll among the olive trees, a dip at sunset, a barbecue under the moonlight: Baglio di Verre is ready to welcome you for a holiday that is both exclusive and authentic. Nestled in a 2-hectare olive grove, the villa consists of three air-conditioned structures: a main building with a kitchen and living room featuring a fireplace, and an adjacent double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a separate entrance. Next to it is a two-story annex: on the ground floor, a relaxation and fitness area—essentially a small private spa featuring a sauna, an exercise bench, and an exercise bike for fitness enthusiasts even while on holiday. On the ground floor, accessible via an outdoor staircase, is a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom and a private terrace. An inflatable mattress for a child can be added upon request. Just a few steps away, directly across the street, is the third two-story apartment with an internal staircase; on the ground floor is a living room with a sleeper sofa and a full bathroom, and on the ground floor is a double bedroom where, upon request, an inflatable mattress for a child can be added. Each unit is equipped with a TV with Netflix in the living area, air conditioning, and Wi-Fi. The panoramic outdoor patio features a dining area, a barbecue area, and a relaxation area overlooking the pool—over 10 metres long—nestled against fragrant hedges of rosemary, lavender, and thyme. The garden also features a small hidden oasis: a heated hot tub.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication
Disliked: Location
The house is located out of town along a dirt road that needed a high clearance to travel on due to large rocks on this very, very rough path, not a road to me. The pool was drained and covered. The rooms were clean. The set up for this property is strange, each room is it own unit with outside access only. So not a typical one unit house setup. So the kitchen/living room was one unit, the bedroom was a separate unit. You had to go outside to get to each room, which was not convenient when it was raining. And the laundry facility was a joke, located in a old wooded shed 20 meters from the house combined with lawn and garden equipment. Bottom line is we would not stay here again. The upside is the property has all new fixtures and equipment. To some the remoteness may be great.
