This 2 bedroom house in the historic market town of Malmesbury, is situated in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, characterized by rolling hills, farmland, and natural beauty and offers opportunities for hiking, cycling, and exploring nature reserves.
Downstairs we have a cosy living room and dining area, going through into the kitchen. Upstairs on the first floor, we have a sweet single bedroom and full bathroom, and on the top floor we have a stylish double bedroom. Please note that while a stunning old cottage like this offers buckets of charm, we have low ceilings throughout as well as a steep staircase so please be careful!
This is a lovely place to stay with everything you need to have a memorable stay here. The property is conveniently located near to local markets, shops, and amenities that cater to residents and visitors.
Outdoors, on the first floor, there is a tranquil sun terrace to relax in after a long day`s work or exploring the local area. This charming home is perfect for those looking to soak up the area’s fresh air and spectacular scenery, yet in a contemporary and relaxing home.
It is free to park on our street here but spaces are often tricky to come across, especially during peak times so if you see one, grab it! If taken, there is also free parking at the Waitrose car park which is a 3 minute walk away. Max stay of 3 hours here though but is a good stop while a space frees up on our road.

The property is in a good location for getting into the town, which has a thriving social scene, and lots of good places to eat. There are also a good range of pubs, and the locals are very friendly. There are plenty of walks with stunning scenery, and the history trail is very interestingThe property itself lacked finesse. The decor was tired and needed freshening up (chipped paintwork), musty and damp smelling, and a stiff front door requiring a strong arm to open/closeA nice touch would have been a welcome pack of basic essentials i.e. milk, bread or a packet of biccies and a guest book for comments. We left a day earlier than booked. In my opinion, not as stunning as anticipated!
