About this property
Hello !! Welcome to 23 The Waterloo, our Cotswold stone cottage holiday home
Hello !! and welcome to The Waterloo, our Cotswold stone cottage, located in the heart of Cirencester, under a couple of minutes walk from the central market place.
This is a new venture for us for 2020 so please bear with us whilst we gather some reviews.
Inside you will find the entire property has been completely renovated achieving a high standard, top to bottom, with new Shaker style kitchen and quality Neff appliances. The new bathroom suite is complemented by a large walk in shower. All the furniture, beds, mattresses, towels and linens, fixtures and fittings are new for 2020 and have been purchased with care to create a comfortable, modern, light and airy space which we hope you will enjoy as a home from home, with all the ameinities you would expect of a modern rental property.
To the front of the property is a private parking area for 1 vehicle, equipped with electric vehicle charging point, with ample parking close by for additional vehicles. The parking area leads to a South facing courtyard with table and seating, ideal for that first morning coffee…. alfresco drinks/dinning or just chilling.
Through the front door you are into the main living space with a large, comfortable sofa, Cumbrian sand porcelain tiled flooring throughout the ground floor, complimented by underfloor heating, 50” smart flat screen tv (Netflix etc) high speed fibre broadband providing wi-fi throughout the property. A breakfast bar leads from the living room into the kitchen area with Neff oven, hob, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen is well equipped with new crockery, pans kitchen utensils etc.
A small flight of stairs leads to the first floor, providing two bedrooms, each with new double bed and mattresses, drawers and clothing rails and main bathroom with modern W.C, sink and large walk in shower.
Step out of the property, walk only a couple of minutes and you are delivered into the centre of Cirencester’s renowned ‘Market Place’ rich in history and beauty, with an amazing choice of cafes, restaurants, bars and shopping with small independent retailers.
Only a little further away you will discover Cirencester is surrounded by a huge choice of places to go, see and do…… Cotswold Water Parks (10 minutes by car) is an amazing place, more that 150 lakes over an area of more than 40 miles, with a huge diversity of leisure activities available for all ages to enjoy. On the water you can hire boats, canoeing/kayaking, inflatable rides, sailing, swimming, wakeboarding, windsurfing and waterskiing. On land there is angling, archery, fabulous birdwatching opportunities, cycling routes, walking routes, horse riding, paintballing, rally driving, golf, picnic sites and nature reserves.
Cheltenham (17 miles away) the most complete regency town in England is famous for its horse-racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. At other times of the year Cheltenham hosts Festivals of Jazz, classical music, science and literature, food and drink.
Highgrove House, one of the homes of Prince Charles, is less than half an hours drive as is Westonbirt Arboretum, with its now famous stunning treetop walkway, the longest in the UK.
Appealing to young ones in particular, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Cotswold Farm Park and the numerous attractions at Bourton-on-the-Water will entertain in abundance.
Great shopping trips for bargains are within easy reach ay Gloucester Quays, Bicester Village and Swindon mcarthur glen Designer Outlets Centre .
