Property was clean and updated. Felt like home with the decor and absolutely loved the screened in porch and over-sized porch swing. Communication was great if we had any questions or recommendations. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
This was a perfect retreat. Access easy to Shenandoah NP and Shenandoah River SP. We chose the property based on the promised view and were not disappointed! Sunrise was phenomenal as was watching the snowstorm come over the mountain... You look out over a pasture toward the Stony Man area of Shenandoah mtns in the distance. Closer to, the birdfeeders kept the yard view lively. The home is completely unique, cozy, and clearly made with a lot of care and modern taste. Giovannella was helpful, welcoming and well prepared.
A well made home in the heart of Shenandoah Valley with a great host
My friends and I spent the weekend at this property. Giovannella has good taste and you can see it in every tiny detail about this property.
She was extremely helpful with tips and information right from the time I made the booking. She was also very prompt with her responses every time I had questions or requests.
We made great memories from our stay here. I highly recommend it. My only regret is not staying longer.
Gianella's home is beautiful. It checked all of the boxes for us. I would not hesitate to stay there again. Our family is actually trying to decide when we should come down again. She was a very sweet and attentive host. She made sure we had everything we needed. The cherry on the top was the view and that bottle of wine she left welcoming us. Thank you Gianella!
Me and my family decided to spend the holidays out of the city. As soon as I found the little house in the website, I felt this was the right place. Giovanella is the best host I ever had when renting a place. She always answered my questions, give me all the information and instructions clearly, left us a delicious bottle of wine, and even accommodated my grandmother at the last minute without any problem.
The house is so warm and cozy! Definitely we’re going back!
We had such a lovely time at the Little House! Our weekend away ended up being a little rainy, but even without being able to use the outdoor amenities it was perfect. Giovanella gave great suggestions for things to do in the area and we had a beautiful hike in Hickory Run State Park. Coming back to the adorable, cozy, and warm space after a cold rainy hike was just perfect! We spent our evenings with the fireplace on, sipping wine, playing games, and reading. Perfect place for a weekend retreat.
Arrowhead lake itself is quite lovely, and our stay at this cabin was a wonderful break.
Overall, the property is charming and has everything you need for a comfortable stay: full kitchen, dining room, etc. the WiFi worked well. The water pressure in the shower is better than what I have at home! The beds were very comfortable, and the neighborhood is quiet, so we slept really well. The furnishings are a bit dated, but everything was clean and functional.
We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the living room… it adds to the cozy cabin feeling on those crisp fall evenings.
There aren’t a ton of restaurants nearby, so we were glad for the full size appliances in the kitchen, and mostly prepared all our meals at the cabin. When the weather was nice, we opted to eat at the table on the screened-in porch so we could enjoy the fresh air.
This cabin itself does not have water views, but is an easy walk to one of the beach areas, which has a small playground area, picnic tables, and a nice sandy beach.
Giovanella is a thoughtful and attentive host, providing clear communication well ahead of check in, and again before checkout. She’s quick to respond to any inquiries and was helpful during our stay.
It’s a very beautiful getaway in the mountains Thank you Giovannella everything is amazing!!!
Giovannella was really sweet and nice
Gave us all that we need for a family vacation
Nice clean space with calm and beautiful atmosphere!!
We will be back again!!
The Little House was the perfect retreat for some much needed rest and relaxation. It was dog friendly with a great backyard and awesome screened porch. It is also close to great trails to hike and located in a safe gated community. Giovannella was a great host , very thorough, welcoming , and attentive. The care and love for the Little House can be felt all around.
House is small, as described in the listing, but comfortable and well equipped. Wife and I wanted a quiet relaxing weekend and this house worked perfectly. We have rented here before and would not hesitate to come again. Communication with the homeowner was great
Super cozy with a great atmosphere. The fire pit was really nice and the solar powered outdoor lights around the property were just magical. We saw deer and hummingbirds as well which was wonderful. It was only abot a 6 minutes walk to the lake as well which was great. Overall, it was a wonderful time! Highly recommend!
My young Autistic son and I were looking for a quiet getaway where we could have a couple days just the 2 of us, after his older brother had a trip to the much-too-overwhelming Disneyworld. The cabin was perfect! In 2 days we roasted marshmallows and hot dogs, spent time at the pool (the island pool with water features and the surrounding lake, as well as concessions, is FAR superior to the others, which are simply big rectangles), sat in the hammock, and relaxed on the screened-in-porch while a huge thunderstorm rolled around us. We did have an issue with the water heater needing to be fixed while we were there, and it was uncomfortable having workman around, but Giovanni comped us with a bottle of wine and late check-out, and it was just one of those things we had to roll with. Great spot for a very small family or girl’s trip!
Cute little cottage home. Spent many evenings on the screen porch. Beds were extremely comfortable. Excellent communication with the owner. Instructions were very clear on how to navigate the "community" rules. Canoes, paddle boards, beaches and a pool!! Most relaxing, no pressure vacation!
Overall, we had a pleasant experience. The house had all the amenities for a relaxing weekend away. The beach on the lake was about a 5 minute walk from the house which was nice. If you do plan on staying here, just know that the water pressure isn’t the greatest. Also, Giovannella does send a lot of emails and wants you to respond promptly. She cares a lot about her property and wants your stay to be pleasant. Thank you Giovannella for a wonderful girls trip.
The Little Cozy House was perfect for my sister, my mother and I. We wanted to get away to relax and reconnect and we enjoyed a comfortable week. Giovanella was an excellent host, checking in on us to see if we needed anything and to make sure that everything was ok. We had a couple of rainy days so we didn't get to explore and enjoy outdoor activities but the Little Cozy House provided us with plenty of room to enjoy movies, games and great conversation.
Giovannella was a great host! Her house was very clean and quaint, and included all materials you need for a nice getaway. She also provided a lot of great information leading up to our trip. She communicated with me during the trip to make sure everything was going ok. I definitely recommend this house & house. We can't wait to return!
We had a better time than we expected at the lil house! Extremely clean & cozy! The front screen porch is spacious & has everything you need to sit back & relax! We grilled & did s’mores on the firepit at night! All in all it was a great weekend getaway! The host Ginovella is awesome, she recommends places to eat & things to do! She is always reachable!
It as a small but very cozy and warm cabin. It has 2 small rooms lots of cabinets for your clothes, bathroom was very neat and a lot of clean towels. Our stay was in rainy days so we couldn't enjoy the outside deck but it might be beautiful in a sunny day. Our favorite part was the fire pit, we really had beautiful memories there. The entrance doors don't close completely and the main door has a door with windows, so at the beginning we feel the house was not very secure but then we realized that it is a private property and neighbors seems to be used to this type of properties. The cabin was clean but there were lots of spider nets in all the entrances and deck. We had to re-wash the cups and glasses as they were not washed properly and also because we stayed with small kids. In cold days the cabin was very warm so we didn't noticed the bad weather outside. Beaches and parks are nice if you go in summer I imagine. Again, we can't complain about our stay, the little house is small but it has everything you might need. The owner was very helpful and she answers quickly when you have any question. Communication was fantastic and the few bad reviews it has doesn't seem to be fair. Beautiful memories and relaxing stay, if that's what you are looking.
Ah what a peaceful tiny, 3 day getaway! The house was just as the pictures led us to believe and it definitely is a cozy little house. We immediately felt comfortable. Prepping and cooking food was a breeze in the quaint kitchenette with a lovely, small dome skylight. It allowed so much natural light into kitchen! The host was amazing and very sweet. Also very understanding of my communication style (I forget about my phone all the time)and quickly responsive if I had questions. Needless to say we were not quite ready to leave at the end of our stay. We will continuously rave about our stay. And oh, do yourself a favor, go eat at Boulder View Tavern (I hope I remembering that name correctly). We will hopefully be back to stay at The Little Cozy House.
Our experience at this place was great, my wife was very happy being here and we loved the house specially nice decor in the deck and beautiful night lanterns setup. We plan to come back soon here. Giovannella communicated all details in timely fashion and also responded to our question promptly.
