Welcome to our stunning cabin, an elevated version of the beloved Goose and Gander Cabins. Nestled in a picturesque setting, this cabin offers unparalleled comfort and breathtaking views.

Step inside to find a cozy rock fireplace, perfect for warming up after a day of adventure. The cabin’s beautiful glass front opens up to a large deck, where you can relax in a 6-person hot tub while taking in the serene river views.

The master bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, while the loft bedroom offers two queen-size beds. Both bedrooms boast huge windows, ideal for stargazing or enjoying the local scenery. The cabin’s log construction adds a rustic charm, complemented by hardwood floors throughout.

The fully equipped kitchen, complete with a dishwasher, ensures you have everything you need for a comfortable stay. But the true highlight of this cabin is the phenomenal views of the river and the mountains, providing a perfect backdrop for your getaway.

I couldn’t ask for a better place to relax and enjoy quality time with family. The place is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and the host is incredibly responsive and attentive. We absolutely love coming here and look forward to every visit!

Lovely cabin for a getaway weekend!! The hot tub was an extra bonus. Very quiet and peaceful. We didn’t have the chance to float down the river because of weather but hosts are willing to shuttle you with their kayaks. Definitely would recommend to stay here!

My family enjoyed staying at the property. The location was perfect to go to luray caverns, Main St, Shenandoah park. Everything what states on the description of the property is right. The house was clean, comfortable to stay in, the beds are comfortable, the view is beautiful. The hosts are quick to reply and it was a pleasure to communicate with them. This was our first time staying in the cabins and we will repeat again!

While the cabin itself was fine and clean there were many things not up to the standards we have experienced at other properties. Unless I was misinformed about paper products and supposed to bring my own, there was only a partial roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, no foil or plastic wrap in the kitchen, no boxes of Kleenex. No kitchen dish towels or cloths. Very few sharp knives or teaspoons. The frying pans were unusable since they had big chunks of teflon peeling off. There was not a coffee table or side tables so nowhere to place a drink.The only good thing I can say is the outside chairs were comfortable. Unfortunately, there is no shade until sunset so could only spend a short time out there. We rented the cabin for 3 nights and left after 1. After we left I did inform the host of these issues. Perhaps they will be addressed, but I would inquire before renting this property.

We keep the kitchen stocked with spoons and basic essentials, and if you had reached out during your stay, I would have been happy to replace the pots, pans, or knives right away. We actually replaced them immediately after your visit to ensure everything is in great condition going forward. As for the sunshine on the deck, the cabin sits in an open mountain-view setting, which means full sun during the day and incredible star‑gazing at night — something many guests mention loving from the hot tub. While we can’t control the natural light, we always want guests to be comfortable, and I appreciate you sharing your experience. I’m sorry your stay didn’t meet your expectations and that you decided to leave early. I truly wish you had contacted me while you were there so I could have addressed these concerns in real time. Thank you again for your feedback — it helps us continue improving the cabin for future guests.

The cabin was cozy and clean. We had a problem finding the remote to operate the tv and Lisa went right out picked up a new one, came and set it up. The location is fantastic out away from the craziness right on the beautiful river, great place to walk and see nature. But we were only 5-10 minutes away from everything.

We are established cabin owners for over 10 years. I have been an owner and manager of Shenandoah River outfitters., for even longer. I have always been in the tourism industry since my teenage years as a guide on Shenandoah National Park.
My husband David is a farmer and his family farm has been in the Shenandoah Valley since 1790
We have a working farm, so the cabin is located in a rural setting.

Why they chose this property

Our cabins are on a piece of property that my husband and I bought over 25 years ago.
The family used to own this piece and we wanted to get the property back.
This is a beautiful river front piece, that we have grown to love. You can float right by the cabins. It is a bird lover and fisherman's paradise. We loved this property and all our friends said that it would be perfect for cabins and we finally caved, and put up the Goose and Gander. Everyone loves our little cabins so we decided to add the last and nicest cabin to the collection.

What makes this property unique

There is a 34 acre island out in front of the cabin. There is over a mile of riverfront access.
You can wade, swim, fish,canoe, tube, kayak, bird watch, look for wild life. All within the confines of the cabins.
There is a private boat launch on the property.
Because of the large private island and the unspoiled area there are birds everywhere.
