"When you go to Naples you cry twice: when you arrive and when you leave," they say. Naples is a unique city, to be experienced by walking through the alleys, smelling the scent of gastronomic delicacies in the air, and admiring its rich artistic and monumental heritage.
Naples has a distinctive culinary tradition for its famous Neapolitan pizza, and the art of its pizza makers has been declared an intangible heritage of humanity by UNESCO.
Strolling through Spaccanapoli, the street that cuts the city in half, one traverses its thousand-year history thanks to the presence of ancient palaces and churches, such as the Duomo di Napoli and the Maschio Angioino. If there is one place that symbolizes Naples, it is Piazza del Plebiscito, now a symbol of the new 'Neapolitan Renaissance' where tourists come to admire its grandeur and two jewels: the neoclassical colonnade of the church of San Francesco di Paola and the Royal Palace. Today it is also possible to visit 'the underground city', or the so-called 'belly of Naples', which served the Neapolitans as a refuge during the bombing raids, where tourists can walk through the Greco-Roman aqueduct, the air-raid shelters, and finally visit the War Museum.
Particularly not to be missed is the San Severo Chapel, which houses the sculpture of the Veiled Christ, one of the most fascinating and mysterious works to be seen in Naples, the work of Giuseppe Sanmartino.
Naples Central Station is 400 m from the apartment, while Naples Airport is 4.4 km away.

The property is centrally located, which makes it great for walking everywhere. The rooms were clean and spacious. The host answered all our questions rapidly.
We were 5 minutes from the train station which made it convenient to get buses or taxis. It was an easy walk to the shopping and old town Naples. Our host was great to work with. He helped us with any questions or concerns in a timely manner. The apartment was just what we needed for the 4 days we there, we had no issues with anything.
Our host was amazing. She walked us through the entire process and gave us great tips along the way to add to our adenture. The room was clean and spacious and the location was perfect!
It is a great spot conveniently off Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi that gives quick walking and transit access to Naples and Pompeii, but with windows facing inward to reduce the noise of the city. It's a well equipped spot for a family stay with older kids with an amazing bunk bed. It's a smaller space but makes the most of the layout. The check in was quick and our hosts were a font of information on activities and good places to eat.

Problems with Wonderful Italy (the host). The Central Station Apartment was great but our experience with host (Wonderful Italy) was not so great. The first problem was that Wonderful Italy turns out to be two organisations: (1) Wonderful Italy and (2) Wonderful Italy Welcome Team. Both organisations requested check-in details (all personal information including photos of ID documents). This was a little bit inconvenient but the main problem was that felt like a scam - why was I giving away the personal information of my whole family to two host organisations? This is not required by other hosts. The second problem was the tourist tax, which was managed by Wonderful Italy Welcome Team. First he told me that it would be 72 Euro but eventually charged me 90 Euro. I wanted to pay this by online transfer but he said that he could only accept cash. Upon payment, I requested a receipt but he refused this. I came away feeling that this was a dodgy organisation.
