The main feature of the Lodge is the glass frontage - every room has a breath taking view leading on to a large decking area with private hot tub and a dining area where you can relax and enjoy all that the wonderful countryside has to offer. Depending on the time of year this could be the Northern lights, dolphins, otters, red deer, various wild birds including many birds of prey.

Birch Lodge is finished to a very high standard. We have ensured guests have every comfort they need - so you'll find a smart TV, coffee machine, American style fride freezer with ice machine, dishwasher, washing machine, wine fridge, large walk in showers, bath robes, free wi-fi to name but a few.

Enchanting hideaway

This was a stunning place to stay - both the accommodations and the setting are exquisite. We thoroughly relaxed and deeply recharged our energies, explored widely, enjoyed a soak at the end of the day and enjoyed creating meals in the well appointed kitchen. Everything was spotless and well set up for deep sleeps, lounging or just staring out into the Scottish sea and landscape. I could definitely live here year round. The hosts are warm and welcoming and discreet. We hold such gratitude 🙏 in our hearts ❤️ for the precious time we spent there.

Loch-side paradise!

This place is a true gem: stunning location with amazing views, beautiful accommodation with nature all around. We saw deer, seals & seabirds all within metres of the balcony. Angus and Ishbel have created a stylish and luxurious space that was a delight to stay in and they were super helpful with help and advice before and during our stay. This is the ideal location for exploring the area from Ullapool to Gruinard bay and beyond with stunning beaches that we enjoyed in summer half term with virtually none else around to see the dolphins! A swim in the crystal clear loch only a few steps from the house and then a warm up in the hot tub is a must. Then chill on the balcony or the sofa while soaking in the view. Can't wait to come again.

We had the most incredible week here, the location is beautiful, the lodge is so impressive! The hosts are kind and thoughtful, everything you could need is there including binoculars to watch the local wildlife!We visited the waterfalls, beaches, falls and took a boat trip where we saw dolphins and seals.And on top of all that coming back to a hot tub was perfect! This place is beautiful we will definitely be back.Thank you for the best holiday, we already miss the views!
