Maalaea Surf, Unit A1 is a conveniently located ground floor unit, direct beachfront, just steps away from the beach. This unit features an updated kitchen with a microwave convection oven, dishwasher and large refrigerator. The unit has central AC, Wi-Fi, TV, convenient parking, tennis & pickleball courts. It also has washer/dryers in guest laundry rooms located on property and two BBQ areas at each end of the property.

The master and guest bedroom have king size beds. The large living room with all new furniture including a sofa bed and large dining table, has expansive views and opens to the patio/lanai, lawn and the beach. Enjoy the ocean views and Maui's colorful sunsets from your spacious private lanai (patio). All units at Maalaea Surf are non-smoking.

Our property is NOT impacted by the recent news regarding potential short-term rental (STR) restrictions in Maui. Because we are zoned as a hotel property, we are exempt from the County of Maui's proposed STR regulations.

Staying here brought us together and allowed us all to truly relax. The view is exactly as pictured! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the lanai as well as the centralized location. We could walk to the coffee shop, farmers market, and even the canoe club! The house had everything we needed and the management team was always super responsive.

Amazing getaway

The location and the property itself is excellent, absolute beach front and a very short walk along the beach to a lovely bakery for your morning coffee and ABC grocery store. The property was clean and had everything we could’ve ever needed, the communal laundry was close by to the unit. The only small issue was nature itself whereby a storm had hit the area a few days before we arrived so the beach directly in front of us was unswimmable so that was unfortunate but there are many beautiful beaches not too far away and of course the pools were great for a nice dip in the hot afternoons too.

Adults appreciated the very comfortable beds, AC and well equipped kitchen. Kids loved the easy beach access, pools and adorable geckos they found. Living and dining room had ample comfy seating. Location in Kiehi was great for getting to other parts of the island. The condo and surrounding property were pristine, and mid-week cleaning offered was a nice bonus. Communication with manager was great. We highly recommend this condo in this charming Ma'alea Surf complex.

We had so much fun on our 9 days, and when we go back, will be staying here again!! The room is well equipped! It’s one of the few I have stayed at that actually has sharp knives to chop up food, and great cookware, which made food in, enjoyable! Wish there was a washer and dryer in the unit, but that is minimal to the amount of FUN we had with our stay at Ma’alaea Surf resort!

Reviewer Comments: This place is absolutely central to all of the activities and on top of that the units were clean and the property was prestine.Malea was a great communicator and was responsive to all of the questions and needs we had.We will absolutely be back and look forward to it!We had some issues with the stove, it seemed to have a mind of its own and the outdoor furniture for the patio was a bit outdated and not the most comfortable to sit and relax in the sun on, but super minor issues.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, beautifully maintained property and management on site if there’s a problem (we had none). There are two pools to choose from and the beach is at your doorstep, perfect for a morning or evening walk. Our unit didn’t have an oven but that wasn’t a downside for us as the induction cooktop was fine . Coffee maker, toaster and plenty of pots and pans. There is one tv in the living room, none in the bedrooms, with kids in tow that could be a problem (our older kids didn’t mind) We noticed a RoKu controller although didn’t use it. Sunrise and sunsets are lovely. Paradise found.

We were steps from the “path” to the beach so had easy access for walking in the sand. We pulled the chaise lounges out into the grass during the day for relaxing, enjoyed our meals on the lanai, took the chairs onto the grass in the evening to watch the sun go down. The view was awesome. The condo is newly redone and very clean and comfortable inside. I didn’t feel like I was in a rental but staying in a friend’s home. Everything we needed for the week was there, including beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels and umbrellas. The rental company was easy to work and very helpful. We had a wonderful time and I’m already anxious to go back....maybe next time for a month (I wish)

We did have to deal with a leaking toilet but the plumber was able to fix when he made it over to us. It ought to be noted somewhere that there’s no actual oven, just a convection/microwave oven combo. Our chocolate chip cookies weren’t very good. Having a manual there would have been really nice. Also the cooktop is induction which could have used a manual or “cheat sheet” also! A retractable shade screen on the lanai would make the lanai more useable in the hot Hawaiian afternoons.

The accommodations were perfect. Staff perfect. Well equipped with all cooking utensils. Beds comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Maintained well. Newer renovation on interior. Clean. Close to several grocery stores, post office, restaurants, gas,etc, yet having a remote feel. Best place I’ve ever stayed. I have nothing negative to say.

Quiet relaxation, wonderfully stocked, and A++ Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 15 minutes after pulling out of Kahalui we were enjoying the amazing, Sugar Beach!! All of the photos we saw showed that the beach seemed pretty close to this unit. It is somehow closet in person. It is so convenient that you kind of feel like you're cheating!! With that, the gentle lapping of waves at night is way better than any white noise machine!! In the morning make coffee in the unit or walk the beach for 3 minutes to find a stellar, local coffee shop/bakery!!! After you're set for the day, everything Kihei has to offer is only a few minute drive away. You really would never need to go more than 5 miles from this place for anything you could imagine! That being said, it takes about 25 minutes to get to Lahaina/Kanapali and maybe 10 minutes to get to Wailaea. Absolutely stellar location on the island and within the complex. The folks on site helping facilitate rentals are the best you are going to find!!

Kitchen very well stocked, two good-sized bedrooms with king beds, ample comfortable seating for all guests. Our only suggestion would be a nightstand/bedside table on both sides of guest bedroom bed. Of course, the beachfront location and view is unbeatable. Suggestion: Make restaurant reservations as far ahead of visit as possible. We found popular restaurants booked completely or only early/late times available.
