About this property
Apartment in Florence with 1 bedrooms sleeps 4
The Bardi Escape apartment is a beautiful apartment near the Arno River in Florence. This property is located on the second floor with elevator of a building located on Via de' Bardi, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of the center, but at the same time close to any of Florence's monuments and you'll be able to get to anything in minutes.
Attractions
The apartment is located in the historic Oltrarno district. "Oltrarno" means "beyond the Arno," and this area stretches along the south bank of the river. The Oltrarno represents the true essence of Florence: a quiet, green and therefore more relaxing area than the others. This is why many tourists appreciate it more and more. This area is also known as the craft district, famous for its delightful workshops, small stores and artisan ateliers (especially antiques and leather goods): via Maggio is the center of Florentine antiques.
From being a rural center, over the past centuries the Oltrarno became a chic district where many aristocrats built their palaces and villas. The largest of these is undoubtedly Palazzo Pitti, former home of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany. Today Palazzo Pitti houses numerous exhibitions and museums, among the most important in the city. Other important attractions in the Oltrarno are the Brancacci Chapel with its magnificent frescoes by Masaccio, Masolino and Filippino Lippi, Piazzale Michelangelo with its breathtaking views of Florence, the magnificent church of San Miniato (one of the highest points in the city and the best example of Romanesque art in Tuscany) and the Ponte Vecchio, home to countless jewelers and goldsmiths. Inside the Pitti Palace is the wonderful Boboli Gardens, an open-air museum of sculptures, some dating from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Finally, the Oltrarno is also famous for the market in Piazza Santo Spirito (set up every morning), for its cafes and wine bars (Olio & Convivium, Bene Vobis, Caffè degli Artigiani, etc...) and for the trattorias offering Tuscan cuisine (Santo Bevitore, I 4 Leoni, Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco, Il Magazzino, etc...). Those who choose to live in this area will find a wide range of grocery stores, pastry stores, bakeries, and more.

Interior Description.
The apartment (85 sqm) with 2 bedrooms in classical style with rare antiques can accommodate up to 4 people and has 1 bathroom. The apartment consists of a beautiful and spacious living room, a well-equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms, both with double beds, and private bathrooms (one of which has a shower without a stall. One of the two bathrooms has a tub, the other a shower, and both are fully furnished in marble.
The smart TV has a Netflix and Amazon account included, no other TV channels.
The windows of the property overlook the Arno River and the Uffizi. The apartment has air conditioning and WiFi internet connection (download 30 bm/s).
Our opinion:
Ideal for a family or those looking for a high-end property for short or long stays. Its location is great for anyone who wants to live in a more secluded area of the center, but without giving up the possibility to visit Florence on foot or to reach the central station.
The apartment is not recommended for families with children.
