Mountain View-Dolgellau

Fabulous stay at the Mountain View property. Perfectly located in Dolgellau to either take local walks or drive further afield. Candy & Marcus were perfect hosts, quickly responding to any questions. House was very clean and well appointed to make our stay enjoyable. Wonderful views looking out over the village to the valley and mountains beyond. Highly recommended.

The apartment was very spacious and the views were lovely over the town. Everything was clean on arrival. The shower was weak but did the job. The town is pretty with plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The parking was very difficult, not easy to find and not as spacious as the pictures make it look. There is no access to the apartment from the parking area. You have to walk up and down an extremely steep hill which was unmanageable for me as I have a spine issue. The unpacking and packing of the car with the steps up to the property and the very narrow lane proved difficult. This should have be made clear in the description and I feel was dishonest. I was forced to reverse down Mount pleasant Road by a local resident on arrival and he refused to reverse and let me past. As a driver of a large car this did cause unnecessary stress on arrival as I couldn’t use my mirrors as the road was too narrow so had to put them in - luckily I have a reversing camera but it was unnecessary stress and had we known about this we would not have booked. The only other thing was the guests above us (in apartment 3A) we could hear their every move and every word - which was quite hard as they were up later than us and caused disturbance. Some sound proving may help with this. I wouldnt book again
