Stylish private villa with Pool close to Carvoeira and beaches of the Algarve

Casa Monte Vale del Rei is a unique and beautiful villa built by an architect with a large private pool situated in a quiet area close to Carvoeiro and its Beautiful beaches. The villa is well designed and comfortable with a stylish contemporary style. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and a large 12 metre pool with sun beds and and umbrellas. The pool can be heated (at an extra cost). Please ask for details)

The villa has four bedrooms (one twin) two with ensuite bathrooms. Plus a further shower room. One of the bathrooms has a freestanding bath. There is air con in the bedrooms. The large living space with fireplace opens onto the beautiful cobbled courtyard with outdoor sofas and hammocks. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating and there is also a utility room. Close to the kitchen is a covered BBQ area with a table and seating. This leads out to the pool which is enclosed with a gate and a wall for safety.

The house was built by an architect in the style of a traditional Portuguese Quinta. Lots of local materials have been used and whilst the style is rustic it is fully modernised, luxurious and comfortable. We have used some antique pieces and vintage textiles to add to the charm of the place. The villa has a laid back vibe, but it is comfortable and relaxing.

The house is owned by David who is the son of the architect who built the house 50 years ago. He is half British and half Portuguese and spends his time between the two places. I am an interior designer living in Brighton who has visited and helped with the property over the last few years and now I host guests in this magnificent property.

We want people to enjoy the house as much as possible and we focus on the details to make your stay the best it can be. The house is unique and stylish and we want you to have a relaxing stay. We are both available for guests should anything be needed. Plus we have people on the ground close by who will meet and great you and help explain the workings of the property.

Why they chose this property

Close to lovely towns of Portimao, Lagoa and Silves. Plus the beaches of Carvoeira and Benagil. In a short trip you will be in the mountains and on your way to the lovely hilltop town of Monchique. There is lots to see and do and yet the house does not have close neighbours so you can enjoy space and privacy as well as the lively towns a few miles away. A car is advisable for getting around. Plenty of great restaurants and Bars close by without the heavy development of some towns in the Algarve.

What makes this property unique

The house is very stylish and the outdoor pool area secluded and relaxing yet at its heart has been made with the most beautiful local materials. Its style is traditional but it has a mix of old reclaimed materials and new modern fixtures. As you would expect of a property designed by an architect the quality and detailing the the fittings (the doors, the shutters in every room, the limestone cobbled exterior areas and the beautiful antique Quinta front door) are all exquisite.
