Akrata is known for its beaches. The river Krathis flows from the Aroania mountain to sea through Akrata. 20km away Lake Tsivlos, formed by a landslide in 1912, is by the road linking Akrata and Zarouchla, where
you must go and have fun at the ski resort Kalavrita.
The ruins of the ancient city of Aegae and its ancient theatre are found near Akrata.
Park Synest is a unique nature-themed cultural park, offering themed, restaurants, artistic installations, hiking, and family fun, blending nature with imaginative, fairy-tale-like scenery and cultural experiences in a beautiful natural setting. It's known for its creative architecture, peaceful atmosphere, and unique exploration opportunities, acting as an "earthly paradise".
A beautiful coastal walk that starts from the beach of Aigio, near the lighthouse, and heads northeast towards the wetland of Aliki. This is a small enclosed protected lagoon of great ecological value as it attracts large numbers of migratory birds, like flamingos, despite its small size.
Archeological museum is home to a vast collection of artifacts spanning from the Neolithic to the Late Roman era, visitors can explore numerous exhibits including a fruit stand adorned with intricate painted decorations, a stunning necklace crafted from cornelian and glass-paste beads, a Corinthian krater, a marble statue of Aigiochos, and an antefix embellished with a painted palmette.
