The cabin was great for a couples getaway. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need, plenty of towels, linens, and blankets. Very clean! Great communication, although we didn’t need anything extra.

Gorgeous cabin and great hosts

The river cabin is beautiful, with a lovely view of the water. Loved the kitchen and all the comforts -- Jim and Emilie were fantastic and so kind and helpful. Close enough to Chattanooga to do the tourist stuff but far enough so it was serene. Very happy and hope yo go back!

Far enough from the hustle, close enough to the city. Clean, comfortable- we didn’t cook but had nice provisions if we had wanted to. Best covered front porch ever!!

Great cabin with an amazing view

We had a wonderful time staying here! The cabin was well equipped, well decorated, and clean. The front porch with a view of the mountains and river was especially wonderful. And to top it off, the owners Emilie and Jim are a delight, and incredibly friendly and gracious. Highly recommended!

Excellent space and very clean. The owners live right next door, but gave us our space and let me know that if we needed anything, we could ask or call. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Great place and Awesome Host

This place is very close to several boat docks and hiking trails, including lookout mountain, Racoon Mtn and several other places. Me and my wife did a week long stay for a kayak fishing trip and had a great time. The host invited us over for burgers on the the 4th of July. Very Great People. Highly recommend them if your visiting Chattanooga area for anything outdoorsy. They are approximately 15-20min from downtown Chattanooga as well.

We loved the cabin and our host were very sweet and helpful!!! The only challenge was the traffic noise on the highway in front of the cabin. It was loud and heavy . probably related to hurricane Helene, wiith 1 40 closed

This Cabin and These Hosts are Awesome

This cabin was great. It was clean. Everything that we needed was provided and easy to find. Hiking and river activities are near by. It's close to downtown, yet far enough for peaceful quiet evenings. Check in and check out couldn't have been any easier. Emilie and Jim were wonderful hosts. An absolutely lovely experience.

First class property and property manager

My wife and I have stayed at almost a dozen different units via VRBO. This was by far the nicest one yet. The unit is furnished with everything you might need. It is spacious and is a first class property. Close to downtown Chattanooga but still feels rural and is right next to the river. Jim and Emilie are exceptionally kind and went out of their way to make sure our stay went well.

Our Favorite Stay in Tennessee

Hi VRBO'ers. We are frequent visitors to Chattanooga and have stayed at several VRBO properties. Make it known that Squeek and Emilie are awesome hosts. As we share many of the same interests in antiques and country living, we really enjoyed their property and its quaint little cabin. It's absolutely clean and immaculate with everything you'll need for a short or lengthy stay. We were late arrivals, but we had all information where there really wasn't a check-in or check out. All that was hashed out in the early, on-line reservation process ... we didn't even need to get keys as there was a push-button door lock at the entry door ... that's all. Both made sure that we had everything we needed, especially an ironing board and iron (which few places have). Because Jim and I are retired first responders, we shared that, "boys in blue", mentality that few understand. Christine and Emilie hit it off instantly. They are wonderful people that we now are proud and happy to call our friends. The property sits about a 20-minute drive into the city and close to all of the touristy sights like Ruby Fall's, Rock City, Incline Railroad, or even Georgia's civil war grounds at Chickamauga. The solitude and quiet are the cabin's very best features. Although there's Wi-Fi, TV and Internet reception, if you have to rely on a cellphone to enjoy their pristine setting, you're missing out on a very special environment. We suggest that you toss your cell-phone in the trunk of your car, grab a cup of coffee, climb into a rocking chair, and simply hang-out on the gigantic front porch and just listen to sights and sounds that nature provides. And, this area is especially suited to motorcycle riding, especially during the fall. Because we live on a rural property in the Southern California mountains, we too are used to being away from the hub-bub of the city and its traffic, our five-day stay was awesome. While it's true that anyone can stay in an up-scale, big-box hotel, that's not the point ... we highly recommend that you stay here to experience a truly relaxing and hassle free environment. If we have the opportunity, you can be sure that we'll come back. Squeek and Emilie made it a wonderful experience for us and we now have 180-pictures to remember it.
