A lovely well equipped cottage. Very pretty garden and easy if you have a dog with you as it’s got a proper enclosed garden. The location is quite remote and I would definitely recommend getting there before it gets dark . Easy to get to attractions in the local area and lots of amenities nearby

The location by the canal is beautiful, a few honesty boxes with eggs, jams and cakes within 15 minute walk. We stayed for 13 nights and it had all we needed; lovely comfy bed, hot tub and garden are great and the place has a gorgeous remote feel, but 10 min drive to lots of amenities. Thank you for the welcome goodies, and lovely to meet the owners.

It's a lovely spot for a relaxing getaway.
It's a lovely spot for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is super clean, modern, comfortable and more luxurious than expected. It's in a lovely, private spot with long walks along the canal from the doorstep. The owners could not have been more welcoming and friendly. They left us a fantastic goody bag with chocolates, cookies and snax. The cottage is right next to the main train line, which you'd expect to be noisy, but the hedge is high enough that you are not overlooked in the garden/hot tub and inside the cottage; the sound is nothing but a low rumble. The trains do not run during the night. We found the trains soporific rather than a nuisance. We can't wait to stay there again!

The perfect spot to relax and chill out.
The perfect spot to relax and chill out. The property is stunning and isolated which is exactly what we like. Large garden area and lovely scenery. Situated right next to the canal means you can go for a lovely stroll, as you walk down, you can grab some fresh eggs, jams, scones and pastries. We also managed to get a Bakewell tart which was fantastic. The owners live next door and are such welcoming people. We hope to return again, we had such a great stay. We managed to book an extra few nights further south. We would have stayed longer but as you can see, it is a well sought after holiday home and was already booked for the next lucky people. Thanks for the hospitality.

The property was clean and tidy on arrival and has a lovely garden with a hot tub .
The property was clean and tidy on arrival and has a lovely garden with a hot tub . There is a narrow track for the last part and crossing over the canal bridge to get there . The owners who live next door are friendly and chatted to us on arrival . Situated next to the canal there are lovely walks in both directions . If you walk 15 mins to the right there is an honesty box where you can buy jams chutneys and cakes . About 50 mins further on is the Somerset boat centre where you can hire kayaks paddle boards etc , it also has a bar and a few minutes further a tea room . The property is right next to a railway line so trains so go past regularly.
