There are free beaches at Sunset beach or the bay here for you to enjoy, though the beaches right in the city of Cape May and Cape may Point require beach tags which you can purchase at city hall or right at the entrance to the beach. All the beaches on the island are available easily by a 5-20 minute walk or bike ride. Beach tags are available in daily, weekly, and full-season options. A great way to see our beautiful island is either by bicycle or golf cart (which can be rented and delivered right to the cottage for your convenience.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hamilton Cottage. The location was great for getting to the Lighthouse, trails, and beach, yet it is set away from the road allowing for privacy. The Willow Creek tasting room and restaurant is a short, enjoyable walk from the cottage. We visited several times during our visit. It took us some time to figure out the door lock but it didn’t detract from our stay. The living room furniture was fun and bright although they could have been more comfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped. We found the host very responsive to communications.
We has a few challenges at check-in (the HVAC system was down) but the management team did a reasonable job of correcting them. We note the plumbing for the bathroom sink needs to be fixed - it's backwards. Hot it to the right instead of the left. Overall a good stay, thanks guys!
We have stayed in this cottage several times and we really enjoy it. It gives us a nice place to stay away from the crowds and able to go to the beach, play golf, or just take a bike ride. And we love the roosters too!
We had an amazing stay at the cottage and our one year old loved being so close to the chickens and geese! The amenities were very nice and everything went very smoothly from check in to our departure.

The beds were excellent and comfortable. A place of beauty and peace.

Loved our weekend in Cape May. The cottage sits on the Willow Creek Winery and within close proximity to “downtown” shopping and dining. Our host was easily accessible and friendly. It felt like home! We will definitely come back.

You were wonderful guests. Love to have you visit again! Thank you so much for visiting the vineyard!!!
The property location was amazing, right in the middle of the vineyard with chickens and geese as neighbors. Short walk to the winery and quick drive or bike ride to beaches and downtown.
Totally as represented and more! Tranquil if you like geese, duck and rooster concerts....and we do! Short trips to all great CM eating, beaches, and other entertainment.
The cottage was well appointed and cared for. As advertised, it is located on the grounds of a winery. The winery and restaurant are really awesome! Good food and a good time! The grounds are gorgeous. Peaceful and serene. Mostly. The cottage is located between the farm's chicken coop/run and a small pond that is frequented by the ducks and geese that roam the property. The chickens were surprisingly quiet. The geese, not so much, but the noise was tolerable. Unfortunately, the geese love to hang out in the roadway next to the cottage and the parking area for the cottage. They don't just wander through those areas on the way to somewhere else. They HANG OUT there. Goose droppings everywhere, but again, not a big deal. Unfortunately, the alpha gander is, let's just say, aggressive. We were literally attacked by this bird on three occasions just trying to walk to and from our car. I know that he was just trying to protect his territory/harem from a perceived threat, but that knowledge was little consolation when the two and a half foot tall, 30 to 40 pound beast was running dead at us hissing, just inches away. My sweetie was genuinely frightened by this beast, which, of course obliged me to defend her against these attacks. Neither yelling nor gesticulating would deter his aggression. He came literally within an inch of a broadside from my boot on each of these occasions before retreating.
Despite these incidents, I would stay on this property again, just not in the Hamilton Cottage until the owners get this animal's behavior under control. The property is beautiful, including the geese! The winery is awesome! The place is just a few minutes from Cape May, but feels a world away. Because this particular cottage is located in territory claimed by the geese, it is just, sometimes, a scary world.

OH MY ! I'm so delighted you loved the cottage, Vineyard and Winery.
So sorry you didn't let me know the gander scared you. He's totally harmless, and if you would have contacted me, I would have gone out and rectified the situation immediately. Turns out one of the female had a large nest there with 15 eggs. I just went out and moved her to the coop and everything was right as rain. I must admit I was surprised she was nesting this time of year. Again, apologizes for the farm excitement. The trick is just to tell them how beautiful the are with their glistening white feathers and blue eyes. They are quite vain and will eat right out of your hand then. Kids do it all the time.
We really enjoyed our time in this wonderful cottage tucked away on the grounds of the vineyard. Peaceful setting that makes you feel like your in the countryside, but only minutes away to the beach. We look forward to coming back again!
Place was very charming and spacious for our family for 4 (two kids). Great location away from tourist crowds and in close proximity to downtown, local restaurants and the beach.
We totally enjoyed staying in this cottage. On the grounds of a winery next to a hen house and pond, it is a great location away from the crowds but convenient to everything. The cottage is comfortable and decorated very nicely. To find it, go past the cottage next to the entry to the winery and head towards the restaurant. You will find Hamilton Cottage next to the hen house on the right.
Love this place. We came in October and back in April! It will be annual!
Amazing time at Hamilton Cottage. We LOVE it here! We came in October and then again in April. We will be a regular visitor. Highly recommended. So easy and so fun! Location rocks!
The cottage was clean and the decor was quite nice. Very pleasant for a long September weekend surrounded by greenery. There is a hen house close by, which was a surprise, but for my partner (an animal lover) that was an added bonus.
We had an amazing time staying here!! There are reviews posted that suggest that this place had cleanliness issues and that is the FURTHEST from the truth!! We loved staying on the property and greeting the ducks and chickens next door every morning!! Easy drive to the beach and perfectly located right next to a farm that offers perfect breakfast sandwiches every morning. Honestly though, you’re staying on a vineyard, why are you still reading this?? JUST BOOK!!

Wow,Thank you so much Jeffrey! We loved having you stay on the vineyard and would welcome you back anytime!
We really loved staying here - very modern upgraded cottage, a hidden treasure in Cape May. GREAT location to the Point and to town. The cleanliness of the property was OK, dirty dishes and old coffee grounds in the kitchen, had some issues with bugs & garbage disposal, but the property manager was responsive to help. In all, a GREAT place and we will be back again.
