The camera can tell 1000 lies

From the moment we arrived we could tell that all was not as it seemed from the photos on the listing. The front door was covered in green algae and the render was in need of repair. Within the description it said the gardener may call but it didn't look like he had been for a long time. On entering the hall the carpet was stained and the house was cold. The photos showed a hamper on the kitchen island but alas - nothing. Not even an information folder. After turning on the electric heaters, we eventually worked out how to use the antiquated hot water system. The bathrooms and kitchen were thankfully clean. However, the general cleanliness of the bedrooms was poor with dirty skirting boards and damp and mould in places. There were many hazards especially for young children, a cracked shower tray and huge gaps in the laminate flooring. We made the best of our stay but will not be returning. Bitterly disappointed.fro a long time.
