About the host
Hosted by Kevin
Our family manages The Shores of Lost Lake with care and attention to detail. We know how valuable vacation time is, so we’ve worked hard to make our home a peaceful retreat for families, couples, and friends. From the moment you arrive, our goal is simple — to help you relax, unwind, and enjoy the beauty of Lost Lake.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with Lost Lake the moment we saw it. It’s one of those rare Michigan lakes that feels peaceful and private, yet still offers all the fun of an all-sport lake. The sandy bottom, clear water, and quiet setting make it perfect for swimming, boating, or simply relaxing on the dock with a cup of coffee.
What makes this area truly special is its balance of tranquility and convenience. You can enjoy total peace and nature here, but you’re only 20 minutes from downtown Ludington, with great restaurants, charming shops, and family-friendly attractions like the House of Flavors, Amber Elk Ranch, and Lake Michigan beaches.
We chose this neighborhood because it feels like a hidden gem — a place where families can unplug, reconnect, and make lasting memories together. Whether you’re watching the sunset over the water, paddling through Turtle Cove, or taking a short drive to the dunes, this spot captures the best of Pure Michigan living.

What makes this property unique
1. Private, All-Sport Lake with a Sandy Bottom
Unlike many Michigan rentals on busy or weedy lakes, Lost Lake offers a quiet, clean, and sandy-bottomed all-sport lake — perfect for swimming, fishing, or boating without the crowds. Guests can enjoy peace and privacy while still having space for fun activities.
2. Optional Pontoon Boat with Unique Features
Your 2020 pontoon boat is a major highlight — it’s rare to find rentals that include or offer a modern pontoon with:
Diving board
Tow bar, tow rope, and tube
Bluetooth sound system
Live well and fishing seats
This turns an ordinary lake stay into a full vacation experience.
3. Ideal Location — Tranquil Yet Close to Everything
Many lake homes are remote, but yours is ideally located:
20 minutes from Ludington (restaurants, House of Flavors, Lake Michigan beaches)
25 minutes from Silver Lake Sand Dunes
Near Pentwater, Pere Marquette River, and Amber Elk Ranch
Guests can easily enjoy both quiet seclusion and local adventure — the best of both worlds.
4. Family-Friendly Comforts & Amenities
Your home was clearly designed with families in mind:
Four bedrooms (each with a queen bed)
Spacious layout for large or multi-generational groups
Kayaks and a pedal boat included
Smart TV, movies, and a full kitchen

Guests can truly settle in and feel at home, not just “stay somewhere.”
5. Authentic Up North Experience
From the fall colors reflecting on the water to the sounds of nature at night, The Shores of Lost Lake captures the pure Michigan feeling — peaceful, restorative, and surrounded by beauty. It’s the kind of place families return to year after year.
