Unit 1428 could easily be "lived" in. Lots of cabinet space, storage, shelving, and bedroom closet by California Closets. A full kitchen featuring Espresso kitchen cabinets and granite counter-tops, travertine kitchen floor, new floor throughout living and bedroom area, completely updated bathroom featuring custom tiling, and Toto accessories. Large lanai with gorgeous Hilton Lagoon, Marina, and endless ocean views.

If you plan on renting a car, we suggest contacting the hotel for the valet parking rates. The last time I checked the parking rates were $45/day. There is also public paid parking along the boat harbor with a rates of $1/hour.
If you only need a car for one day, some of our guests have rented a car just for the day from the car rental facilities in Waikiki, but make reservations in advance as they get rented quickly.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE — July 9, 2025**　－Update August 26, 2026
Starting the week of July 28, 2025, a licensed contractor will begin spalling repairs and full exterior painting of the building. Balcony access and use for this unit will be restricted from July 12, 2027 to July 22, 2027. (approx. dates). Construction noise will be limited to 9 AM – 5 PM per house rules. Guests can use lanais after 5 PM once contractors finish for the day.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is excellent. The unit itself is showing a lot of wear and tear. The patio furniture is rock hard. The bed is comfy but the unit itself does not look as new as the pictures show. We also had 4 bath towels for 4 people for almost a week and used towels which did not say "do not use" and they charged us for waterproof mascara stains which always come out. I also cleaned twice under the sink with hot water and soap as we saw ants for 2 days.

Thank you for your feedback. While we clearly label restricted towels and could have resolved the ant issue immediately if notified during your stay, we only billed a minimal fee under $10 total—far below our standard $10 per towel rate—to cover the cost of three towels with permanent stains, as daily laundry and hotel services are not part of our vacation rental setup. We appreciate your comments and hope you enjoyed your time in Hawaii.

This was my first time staying in a high rise condo building. I was not disappointed with my stay at all. This condo was very clean. Everything worked inside the condo. I arrived the day after Lala hit Oahu so almost all of the power was out in the building. They had a generator running to power the elevators. Even the street lights were out in downtown Honolulu so they had police directing traffic. The evening that I arrived the lights came back on and there was shouts of joy coming from all of the balconies!! It was cool to experience that. Anyway the power outage was out of Ilikai's control and I am not complaining about it at all. I originally thought that this place had a washer and dryer in the condo but it does not. However there is a washer and dryer that can be used by all guests for 3.50 per load, which I gladly used. The view from the balcony was amazing. The location was close to many restaurants, the beach, and a short drive to Diamond Head trail. Honolulu is a busy city to drive in so be prepared for that if you plan on renting a car. I cooked up many meals on the stove in this condo which was very convenient. Lala brought humid air with her so having a working air conditioner was great! The pool was very refreshing being that it was abnormally humid. The host was quick to answer all of my questions so that was very nice too. I highly recommend staying in this condo if you're thinking about traveling to the Waikiki area, you won't be disappointed.

One of the most updated u it’s in the Ilikai. View was great. The room is next to the elevators but you don’t really hear them. Great view of Friday night fireworks and the Hilton luau. Bed and couch were comfortable. Would stay there again.

Nice renovation of the room. Superb kitchen space. The elevators took a bit but it's was a very crowded week ( marathon and Christmas parade). Would recommend this room, excellent views and comfortable
