We had a wonderful family stay at this beautiful 6-bedroom home in Saluda! It was the perfect place for our family to gather, enjoy good food, make memories, and simply relax together. The house was comfortable, spacious, and especially great for the kids. We loved being so close to hiking and all the beauty of the area. It was exactly what we were looking for and made our family time together even more special. We would definitely love to return!

We were traveling with a group of 11 church friends and found this location perfect for our two-night stay!The home was spacious, with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, ample room for everyone to spread out, and a fully stocked kitchen. One of our favorite things was enjoying our morning coffee on the back porch!Our hosts were wonderful—very attentive and quick to respond to our questions.We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling with a larger group!

We had a great time in this beautiful setting. Sitting on the back porch was very peaceful! Enjoyed seeing the many beautiful birds. We did have a problem with the gravel road, but the host took care of it immediately! The house is huge and conveniently located in the woods yet very close to Saluda. If you go in the Purple Onion restaurant, please try some of their delicious in-house desserts!

This place was just what we needed for our time away together as an extended family. Loved the common space for meals, games and dancing! And yet the basement to get away, with all the Lazyboys, for video gaming play. We used every square inch and loved it.

The Escape is the quintessentially perfect, warmly inviting, private, beautiful location for those who appreciate a large amount of space for important gatherings requiring all of the things noted in its description. The natural setting is wonderfully peaceful. Host was great. A great location for outdoor enthusiasts, local shopping and excellent dining in Saluda, Tryon, Landrum, Flat Rock, Asheville within very reasonable driving distancea. A nice trail hike (or brief drive) will bring you to the Orchard Inn (a favorite). We chose The Escape for a very important occasion and it exceeded our expectations.

Why they chose this property

Saluda is a unique area convenient to many attractions in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. This log home brand new and will be finished in early 2019. It's less than 2 miles from the interstate and less than a mile to downtown Saluda yet feels like it is in a world by itself. The cabin was designed to take advantage of the southern exposure and mountain vista.
