The road leading to the cabin is extremely rocky and not leveled. You need an SUV. I can not express enough how frustrating that no sheets on the bed and no towels on a vacation is not ok. Excellent view! Very clean! Some updates are needed. Fire pit desperately needs to be leveled off. You sit on an incline it’s not enjoyable. The seclude news was awesome. Very peaceful place!

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful views, peaceful seclusion, and found the cabin to be very clean. We take great pride in maintaining high cleaning standards, so we appreciate you mentioning that.
As noted in our listing, the cabin is located on a mountain and is accessed by a gravel road. While 4WD or AWD is recommended, it is not required. We’ve hosted many guests who have reached the cabin in sedans without any issues. Maintaining a steady speed and turning off traction control is generally all that’s needed - Personally, I've driven everything from a motorcycle to a 27 foot RV on this road without difficulty.
Our listing also clearly states that we provide comforters, quilts, and pillows, but guests are asked to bring their own sheets and towels so there are no surprises upon arrival.
As for the fire pit and yard, the cabin is situated on the side of a mountain, so the terrain is naturally not perfectly level. While the yard does have a gentle slope, there are no steep drop offs or hazardous areas. We understand that the incline around the fire pit wasn't as comfortable as you had hoped, and we appreciate your feedback.
Thank you again for your review and for sharing your experience. We value all guest feedback and are always looking for ways to improve while also ensuring future guests have accurate expectations based on the information provided in our listing.
This cabin was the perfect stay for our girls weekend. We were thankful for a vehicle that didn't have a low clearance or the road up would have been very challenging, but it was worth it and the views are truly spectacular. We loved having our own bedroom and bathrooms, the kitchen was one of the most well stocked kitchens of any rental I've done (an entire spice drawer!). The hot tub was glorious, will have to come back in the summer when the pool is opened for the season.
The cabin is very cozy and the sunsets are incredible! The hot tub is also perfect for enjoying the stars. I would highly recommend this home! A couple things to note before booking: there is a small additional fee for sheets and towels. Also, the road is pretty rough, even in dry clear conditions. I wouldn't book unless you have a car with his ground clearance like an SUV.

We really wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, we had a few issues. The pool was leaking and the a/c went out during a heatwave. The inside temperature reached 88 degrees by the time we were able to get some relief with window units. The owners were very responsive and the property manager tried to resolve our issues. In my opinion, this property needs some TLC. They need a new pool liner, the a/c obviously needs repair and the decking needs updated and/or replaced. The road definitely requires an suv or truck due to rough terrain. We ended up leaving a day early, I wish these owners and property manager nothing but the best. We just weren't able to enjoy it as much as we would have liked due to multiple issues.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I apologize again for the inconvenience you experienced with these unexpected issues.
As you know, we responded quickly to each concern. During your stay, we repaired the pool liner & stopped the leak so that the pool could continue to be enjoyed. Unfortunately, the central A/C system failed unexpectedly & while we were unable to have the system repaired that day, we went straight to the store, purchased multiple window A/C units & installed them at the cabin. The central HVAC system was fully repaired immediately after your departure.
We are continually investing in improvements to the property. In addition to maintaining the cabin year-round, we're planning to install a brand-new pool next season & update the deck as part of our ongoing upgrades. We hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity in the future so you can enjoy these improvements.
Our listing notes that the cabin is on a mountain/ steep gravel road. We recommend AWD or 4WD, particularly in certain conditions, so guests know what to expect. While many guests have successfully reached the cabin in a variety of vehicles over the years, we understand that mountain roads can be unfamiliar for some visitors.
We genuinely appreciate your kind words about our responsiveness. Providing excellent service is important to us & while we can't always prevent unexpected issues, we work hard to address them quickly so our guests can get back to enjoying their vacation.
The cabin was clean, warm, and well stocked. The views are wonderful, especially in the morning. The hot tub was clean and warm. All six of us enjoyed our weekend getaway.
Best experience at the cabin beautiful views at the mountain and Shenandoah river. Pool and hot tub are the best part so quiet area. So clean and relaxing.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much! The home is very clean, spacious, and relaxing. You will not regret staying here one bit. The home is in close proximity to Luray Caverns and vineyards. The scenery is amazing! We hope to be back in the future! If you have any doubts….don’t!
The house was clean and had a great view. Access to local towns and wineries was easy but almost unnecessary as we had the most fun sitting in the pool and enjoying the view.
Our expectations were exceeded by a good margin. Wonderfully located with a view that is second to none. The decor and accommodation s made the space very cozy. Wood stove was extra nice and made the ambiance very romantic. The peace and quiet is unbeatable. The drive up the last road is invigorating if you like a little rocky road mountain climb. Will be planning another reservation again next year. We usually camp this time of year but looks like we will be replacing that with this beautiful experience.
The cabin was so clean and welcoming when we arrived. The A/C was on and the TV was playing relaxing scenic videos. Great first impression. The interior of the house and the large deck are well furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and star gazing. Very quiet and secluded and the view from the deck is beautiful. Saw a rain storm form in the valley and slowly make its way up the mountain to the cabin. A really relaxing and wonderful place to stay.
What a beautiful cabin! Amazing views, wonderful pool & hot tub, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful deck, & comfy cabin! Thank you for sharing your oasis with us! We felt spoiled...plus relaxed & rejuvenated!
Our family & dogs enjoyed it & plan to be back!
The amazing views, porch swing to enjoy them with was just wonderful. The house itself is situated very nice. The furniture was comfortable... Thank you!
Been visiting Shenandoah Nat Park for 20years and 6 different cabins around the Luray region.
This cabin is by far our favorite! 3rd time and nary a regret! Always clean, modern, manager is immediately responsive, and super fun times!
Can’t wait for next year!
The cabin was great. Very well taken care of and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well stocked with anything needed. The views are second to none. Charles was quick to answer questions we had before arriving. Already planning a return trip.
The views from this property were amazing. The cabin itself was adorable. Very clean, but bring extra paper towels and trash bags. I would definitely recommend this house and would 100% stay here again. It’s close to the Luray Caverns and a Walmart/grocery store.
Beautiful view. The kids enjoyed the pool. Watching deer cross the yard and listening to the cows in the valley. It was peaceful and Ashley was awesome. We all had a great time.
My friends and I book this cabin every year to see the fall foliage. The layout is perfect for the 7-10 people we have on any given year. This place never disappoints. The owner is very responsive as well.
