The pretty Suffolk village of Wenshaston itself is very picturesque and is the home of the 16th century Doom Panel painting, considered to be a very rare work of art. But the real draw of this location is its proximity to the beautiful beaches of Dunwich, Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh, all celebrated for their natural beauty and quaint seaside vibes. Southwold is of course home to its famous pier and is packed full of artisan and boutique cafés, inns, bistros, restaurants and shops. It really is a charming town and along with that much celebrated wide, sandy beach it is also home to a really special little cinema, the Electric Picture Palace. Make time to visit Aldeburgh too and explore the picturesque town and the historic Martello Tower. And undertake a blustery beach walk or a spot of sunbathing on Dunwich beach, a truly breathtaking spot. In fact, there is so much to do, you will struggle to fit it all in, which is a great excuse to head back to the Church Rooms and fall in love with it all over again!

Really beautiful accommodation, the owner was extremely helpful and very pleasant. The locals were the most friendly we have ever met. The accommodation was very spacious and clean. The courtyard was lovely and at night looked amazing. Where we were located was ideal for local day trips to Southwold, Beccles etc. We would definitely visit again, thank you.

The Church Rooms is a beautifully presented, warm and comfortable cottage, ideally situated for exploring lovely Suffolk. It is ideal for dog owners as there are miles of footpaths straight from the door.Unfortunately, we were disappointed in the lack of cooking utensils. However, we very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

This was our first visit to Suffolk and we had chosen The Church Rooms on the basis of its description, its nearness to Southwold and its ev charger - we have a Renault Zoe. We were not disappointed; this old listed building has been sensitively restored to a high standard with all the facilities we expected. It is situated on a quiet lane, adjacent to the local church. It's an ideal base for exploring Southwold, Aldeburgh and the surrounding area. We'd recommend The Star (village local) for hearty well prepared meals; Coasters in Southwold is an excellent restaurant as is our favourite, Cleonis in Halesworth. We thoroughly enjoyed our restful stay at The Church Rooms, and would certainly recommend it.
