If you’re a games family, this is very much your kind of break. And if you’re a group of adults who know how to have a good time, it works just as well. Arcade games, pool, darts and a home gym keep everyone busy, together. When it’s time to slow things down, the home cinema and Blu-ray library are ready for a proper movie night. And if you head out, lakeside walks and village pubs are just around the corner.

Essitone House sits in the village of Ashton Keynes, a peaceful spot surrounded by water, footpaths and quiet countryside lanes. It’s the kind of place where you can step outside and head straight out for a walk, or wander into the village for a drink without needing to plan too far ahead.
From here, the wider Cotswold Lakes open out in every direction. There are miles of waterside paths and cycle routes to explore, along with plenty of opportunities to get out on the water, whether that’s booking activities, hiring equipment or simply spending time by the lakes and watching the wildlife go by.
For food and drink, Ashton Keynes has a well-loved village pub at its heart, with more cafés, pubs and casual dining spots dotted around the lakes and nearby villages. If you’re after something a little bigger, Cirencester is close by and offers boutique shopping, markets, restaurants and a strong sense of history.
Kemble Station is also within easy reach, with direct trains into London, making Essitone House a practical base for weekend breaks as well as longer stays.

Why they chose this property
The Cotswolds is famous for good reason: the rolling hills, the picture-perfect villages, the honey-coloured cottages that seem to deepen in colour by late afternoon.
What tends to surprise people is everything else. Cheltenham Jazz Festival pulls a line-up you'd expect from a much larger city, and the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford is one of the great spectacles of the British summer. Theatres, galleries, antique shops and the kind of coffee stops worth a detour are scattered across the region, often in places you wouldn't think to look.
Daylesford Organic started as a farmshop and has quietly become something closer to a country estate you can spend the day inside, spa included. The Bull at Charlbury does a Sunday roast worth planning the weekend around. Aynhoe Park, since Restoration Hardware took it on, is somewhere between a country house and an art installation. The Cotswold Lakes are a world of their own, lodges on the water, paddleboards waiting for you, room to explore and room to do nothing at all.
This is our neighbourhood. So whether you're after a dog-friendly weekend of long walks and pub fires, a five-star house with a hot tub overlooking a lake, or somewhere to base yourself for a festival weekend, welcome. We're here to help.
What makes this property unique
Be.Here. is a collection of homes built for the kind of short stay that actually feels like one. Each one is different in setting, character, and shape of weekend, but they share the same quiet instinct for what a good break needs.
Nothing is left to chance. We've stayed in enough short-let homes to know which details matter, and we build every Be.Here. home around the ones that do.
Because a short break should feel like a real one. Whether you're here on your own with a book, around a long table with friends, or somewhere in between, the home should disappear into the background and let the weekend happen. That's the art of a great stay.
