About this property
3 Bed in Kingswear (oc-a29168)
This charming fisherman''s cottage is the perfect bolthole for friends or families eager to explore the picturesque coast and countryside of South Devon. Set in an elevated position with spectacular panoramic views over Kingwear and the Dart Estuary, enjoy al fresco dining and glorious sunsets from this cosy home away from home.
Step inside and be welcomed into the lounge/diner with incredible riverside views from the window, a Smart TV, and comfortable sofas in which to sit back and relax after a day of discovery. At the rear of the cottage is a small but well-equipped kitchen with a convenient cloakroom. Heading upstairs via a striking open tread staircase in the centre of the living space, you''ll find two bedrooms. The first is a master bedroom with breathtaking river views and a double bed. Across the hall is the family shower room. Completing this floor is a smaller bedroom with a double bed and a single bed over (suitable for children only). There is a further double bedroom located on the second floor, accessed via steep stairs. Outside, enjoy the magnificent views from the patio on the sunny side of the Dart and dine late into the evening.
You''ll find pubs and a shop within a half-mile stroll, and the regular Paignton-Kingswear vintage steam train can be seen from the cottage as it journeys along the banks of the Dart. A ferry crossing, located 0.5 miles away, takes you across the river to the vibrant town of Dartmouth, which boasts independent shops, numerous pubs and tempting cafes and restaurants. From Dartmouth, you can catch a river cruise to Totnes, Dittisham, and Greenway, the holiday home of Agatha Christie. Alternatively, strike out along the South West Coast Path towards hidden coves and spectacular cliff-tip views.
