Disappointed
Our experience at Ca’ Dolce Vita fell well below expectations, starting with the inconvenient key collection process. The lockbox was located nearly an hour away by Vaporetto (public water taxi), which meant we had to take a costly private taxi at 9pm to reach the property after picking up the keys. To make matters worse, the property manager contacted us a day later asking us to return one of the two keys back to the distant lockbox—an unreasonable request during our short vacation, which we declined. The apartment itself presented several challenges. The stairway up to the unit is steep and tightly spiraled, making it very difficult to manage with large or heavy luggage. This would be a significant issue for families or anyone with mobility concerns.Inside, the bathroom was extremely cramped, with barely any space between the toilet and the sink. For context, my husband and I are fairly petite (5’7” & 5’1”, 160 lbs & 115 lbs), and even we found it uncomfortably small. The most unpleasant part of our stay was the presence of mosquitos inside the property. All of us, especially our young daughter, were covered in bites.Cleanliness was below average. Some utensils in the drawer were sticky, and there was an odd smell throughout the unit.On a positive note, the location was quite good—close to the water and just a 15-minute walk to San Marco Square. The air conditioning also worked well. That said, we would not recommend this property to families with young children, a
