Nyth yr Eryr consists of a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and vacuum, a dining room, and a sitting room with a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of two doubles, along with a shower room. Outside, there is a walled front lawn, side patio, and roadside parking on a first-come, first-served basis. The property is easily accessible by train, within a 5 minute walk of the main Blaenau Ffestiniog Train Station. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, dog pram available if required.. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Enjoy a splendid retreat at Nyth yr Eryr. Note: There is no TV or WiFi at the property. Note: Please mind your head on the low door frames throughout the cottage. Note: Take care on the uneven floor and narrow exit from the bathroom. Note: Two children are welcome up to the age of 10 due to the property setup and facilities available. Note: There are a few steps up to the property. Note: The double bed can only be accessed from one side. Note: Check-in from 3pm, check-out by 11am.

Town: The fascinating old slate town of Blaenau Ffestiniog is situated in a superb position for exploring the Snowdonia National Park. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, this is a great underground adventure. The slate mines now hold the prestigious status of a world heritage site, awarded by UNESCO and visitors can take enthralling underground trips there to see mining as it was done in days gone by. The famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway also runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog. Nearby is Portmeirion village, famous for its architecture and the film set of the cult TV series The Prisoner, plus local beaches, suitable for children, are within easy driving distance.

We wisten van te voren dat de woning klein en eenvoudig, maar de foto’s en de omschrijving klopten niet met de werkelijkheid. De woning was ook nog erg vochtig, daardoor stonk het, en moesten we midden in de zomer de verwarming aanzetten om het minder klam te krijgen. Het hele huis was krakkemikkig, de vloeren onregelmatig en de deuren klemden. In de keuken ontbrak het aan van alles, zodat we het gevoel kregen dat we binnen aan het kamperen waren. De woning is het geld niet waard, kies wat anders, en maak een schapenstal van de woning.

Cottage with potential
Das Haus war leider nicht sehr sauber, viele Tierhaare und der Zugang zum Haus wild bewachsen. Das Haus ist an sich sehr süß und rustikal. Wir haben von der Agentur keine Antwort bekommen, nachdem wir eine Nachricht während des Aufenthalts geschrieben haben. Ein Staubsauger wäre gut für den Eigengebrauch im Haus. Wir waren mit unserem Kleinkind da - die Treppe zum Obergeschoss ist recht steil und ein Fehltritt von Bad kann leicht direkt die Treppe hinunterführen- eher nicht mit Kleinkindern geeignet.
