About this property

Luxury house with stunning sea and mountain views

With stunning south facing views over the iconic Eilean Donan Castle, the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range and situated right in front of the sea this is a recently renovated luxury house ideally placed to explore the Isle of Skye (15 min drive), Plockton (15 min drive), and many other stunning locations in the Scottish Highlands.

The house is well equipped, in impeccable condition and includes a games room over two floors with table tennis and dartboard, and a lounge area with Smart TV.

Ideal for 6 adults and 4 children.

The But n Ben is situated on the shore of Loch Alsh in the village of Upper Ardelve, facing south down Loch Duich to the iconic Eilean Donan Castle and the Five Sisters of Kintail mountain range. It is just 7 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh and the Skye Bridge with direct access to the Isle of Skye.

It is a contemporary, spacious four bedroom house for up to 10 people, including 4 children. It comprises of three double bedrooms (2 x Super King, 1 x King) and one bunk room with 2 x bunk beds. All are housed on the upper floor of the house.

The Super King bedrooms are both en-suite with shower and the King bedroom is directly opposite the family bathroom, including bath and shower.

It is suitable for six adults and four children, with the children sleeping in the bunk room.

The ground floor comprises the living area, including entry foyer/boot room, utility room, kitchen, lounge, WC/shower room, and rear foyer/exit.

The house is light, spacious and very comfortable with plenty of seating for up to 10 people to socialise and dine. There is a large kitchen with island including breakfast bar for 4 people.

There is a separate, adjoining building housing the games room on the ground floor with table tennis and darts, and the TV room and office space with desk on the upper floor.

The TV is an LG Smart TV with FreeSat channels and many apps including iPlayer, etc. You can also access premium channels such as Netflix and Amazon Prime if you have a subscription.

There is fibre broadband Wi-Fi throughout with sufficient bandwidth to stream several devices at the same time.

There is parking for up to 3 cars in the driveway of the house with an additional spot above the shore and adjacent to the games room.

We are happy to welcome one well behaved dog at The But n Ben. However this must be agreed in advance and guests must agree to adhere to our "house rules" for dogs, and we make a 1-off charge of £50.

Guest access
Guests have exclusive access to the whole house.

Other things to note
The house is all electric, with underfloor heating, electric radiators and wood burning stove.

We celebrated a special family birthday at The But n Ben. Excellent location for touring this area & what a view from the large windows. Kitchen has everything you need & well appointed. Open plan dining & social space was also great. Games room was well used by the children. Everyone enjoyed their holiday.

We had such a wonderful stay. The house had all the amenities for comfort and even though a bad storm took out the power for 24hrs, Pippa, the lady who takes care of the house came down to make sure we had hot water to make coffee and gave us as much information on what was going on in the area as she could find out. With good friends, a beautiful But n Ben and a breathtaking view, I can definitely say we'd be happy to come back again, storm or no.
