Based in Lugg Bridge in the county of Herefordshire, The Stables is a hidden gem and perfect for those looking for a romantic breakaway in the countryside, surrounded by fantastic counties such as Shropshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Monmouthshire and The Forest of Dean. The property is just 3 miles from the city of Hereford which has an array of independent bars, shops and restaurants for guests to enjoy.
Within the city, you can explore Hereford Cathedral, home to the famous Mappa Mundi and Chained Library exhibition. There are many walks and cycle trails to be had straight from the property and for breath-taking views try Hergest Ridge and Offa’s Dyke or visit the literary town of Hay-on-Wye with its world-famous festival each year. Further afield are the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains, and some superb views to be had from the top of Pen Y Fan! The Forest of Dean is just 20 miles from the property and offers an array of activities and areas to explore.
The Stables, which is an annexe next to the owner’s home, is all ground floor accommodation offering a kitchen and dining area with everything you need to have a wonderful home-cooked meal, a large living room with a Smart TV and Wi-Fi, a sofa bed (for alternative sleeping only), a huge bathroom with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower and heated towel rail, and a double bedroom with a double bed. To the exterior is a small patio area with seating and private parking at the front of the property. Pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
