Alexandra Place was built in 2012 so its well-insulated and spacious for a modern 3 bedroomed house. It has all you could need a lounge with a woodburning stove for those colder winter evenings as well as having full central heating throughout.
The lounge is equipped with a modern TV, and you can access your favourite streaming service. Wi-Fi is provided as are a selection of books which seem to rotate though the years as guests come and go.
The Kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob as well as a microwave, toaster, dishwasher and fridge freezer. It has plenty of crockery, and most utensils you could need, Also on the ground floor is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.
There is also a ground floor accessible wc.
The first floor comprises 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Each room has hanging space for clothes and a chest of draws. Two of the bedrooms can be set with either single beds or a double bed and the third smaller bedroom is a single room. This creates flexibility for your party of up to 5 guests. We can also provide a travel cot, and highchair should you have a younger member in your party.
The bathroom is tiled floor to ceiling, with steel bath and shower over the bath as well as a wash hand basin and wc.
We provide all bedding and tea towels, cloths, dishwasher tablets and basic cleaning materials, but we do ask guests to bring their own bath and beach towels and flannels.
The house is across the river from Southwold which by car is about a 7 mile drive but a mere 3 miles on foot or by bike. Both Walberswick and Southwold are popular destinations with artists and holiday makers alike.
Walberswick has a shingle beach and mash land between the village and the coast towards Dunwich and the River Blyth and Southwold on the Northern Side.
The nearest train station is Darsham. Public transport is limited and so it would be advisable to have a car for your stay. There is parking at 3 Alexandra Place for 1 car, and we have agreement from our neighbour for another, should it be needed.
Our past guests have highly rated us in reviews and our guest book is full of complements. Many guests choose to return year on year with at least one family returning every year since we opened. We hope you are the next party to do just that.
