About this property

Modern holiday home in quiet location near Freshwater East beach

Mermaid is a modern home situated on the very quiet edge of Trewent Park yet near the beautiful beach of Freshwater East. The lounge/kitchen/diner opens at the rear onto a lawn and woodland where there is a range of wildlife including badgers. The bathroom has a walk in shower. The three beds (one double, two single) are very comfortable. We request guests supply their own bed linen, towels and tea towels as this enables the price of stays to be kept as low as possible.
There is free wifi, a streaming TV and Blu Ray/DVD player . The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker, fridge, microwave and full range of utensils. Heating, electricity, duvets and pillows are provided . A folding bed is available for a fifth person and a cot and high chair. A dedicated parking space is located close to the front door. There is a small front garden with herbs and roses. Children will love the mermaid collection, toys and games .
Mermaid beach home is ideally located for walkers who wish to explore the Pembrokeshire coast long distance footpath which runs past the entrance to Trewent Park. The Trewent Park cafe/restaurant/bar 'Jacks at the Longhouse',
which offers live entertainment, is a few minutes stroll from the home.

Really enjoyed our stay, worst thing was the weather but didn't let it 'dampen' our spirits! lovely cosy chalet, lots of amenities to use, including a DVD player with DVDs and card games which the kids loved! Very clean, good parking, easy check in, hosts were contactable if needed.

Great little house. Had everything I needed. Such a good location, right next to Freshwater East beach, just 5 mins walk. Jack's is a decent pub, on the edge of the holiday park, which serves food. Parking outside the house. Great value holiday accomodation. I had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with promptly - thanks Ian and Peter. I'll be back

I live in Cardiff, the Welsh capital, and have co-owned Mermaid Beach Home for 10 years. I make frequent visits to Pembrokeshire to enjoy the beautiful beaches and walks. I enjoy hosting guests at Mermaid home as I have happy memories of my seaside holidays when I was young and traveled little. Our annual week by the sea was the highlight of the year.

Why they chose this property

Pembrokeshire has so much to offer from beautiful beaches to many family friendly attractions to visit on the occasional day when the sun does not shine. It is similar to Cornwall in a lot of ways but less crowded in the summer and is quicker to reach from the largest English cities.

What makes this property unique

Mermaid Beach Home has the benefit of a peaceful location on the edge of the Trewent Park site and has an outlook over woodland behind the property. However, it is only a few minutes walk to the site cafe/restaurant/bar and the beach. It was listed on the Holiday Lettings/Trip Advisor website from 2014 to 2024 and received an average review score of 4.5 (out of 5) with 48 of the 62 reviews rating Mermaid Beach home as excellent.
