The apartment is really nice! Comfortable, roomy and quiet with beautiful sunsets. We enjoyed the restaurants and stores on Leith Walk.The tram is around the corner, very easy to use (airport, downtown, Leith). I hope to be back soon and do it all over again.
Generally ok. Quite neighborhood, 30 min walk to Royal Mile. The kitchen is not equipped to do meal much cooking would be nice to have a proper skillet for breakfast foods. The living room furniture was uncomfortable. The bathrooms could use a shelf or two.
The apartment is a great place to stay. Nice and clean. The tram into Edinburgh is a 2 minute walk, it takes about 10 minutes. The beauty of the trams is that there is only one line, which runs from The Airport to the Liner Terminal (Royal Yacht Britannia). the Host's instructions were first rate. We had no issues finding the apartment, the keys or anything else. There are a number of very nice restaurants along Leith Walk. Particularly Oregano and Vittoria on the Walk, as you may have guessed we like Italian. There is also a Wetherspoon's just past the Playhouse Theatre, which is a short walk away. Will certainly be staying again when visiting Edinburgh.

Difficulty Gaining Access to Property
We were almost not able to gain access and had no one to contact for help. This is totally unacceptable. We tried over and over to get the access code to open the door. Finally gave up and approached garage owner across the street. He said he had watched other guests suffer the same problem. He came over and tried to assist us. Finally between him and my son, the gate opened. Had it not, we would have been forced to tried to find a hotel in a strange town after dark. This totally unacceptable, Nothing would change my opinion of this experience but a 100% refund. I will give you high marks for the very detailed instructions for locating the tram at the airport and getting to the flat,

Glen my apologies you had difficulty opening the door. However you are the only person from a number of visitors who had this problem.
If gaining access to the property was such a problem why didn’t you contact me via the Vrbo app or WhatsApp?

Why they chose this property
The flat is on a quiet side street, however, on the next street over there are lots of cafes and local restaurants. A walk away is the city and to get a good view of the fireworks you can walk up Carlton Hill.
What makes this property unique
2-bedroom duplex apartment. You get a good sense of space, plus you get good views. Walkable distance to the city centre, shopping area and direct transport links at your door step.
