I’ll start off with the positives, this is in a great location. The apartment itself was fine for a place to lay your head after a long day of sight-seeing. The AC unit was a big plus, not many Paris apartments have that and the kitchen came stocked with basic utensils. Also the instructions on check-in/out were straight forward and our contact was responsive! Our issue is the door that leads you in to the building is nestled in the front of a sandwhich shop that is super busy, so every time we came home we’d have to politely ask patrons to move so we could enter (the shop puts tables and chairs in front of the door you need to get into) Once you enter you’re basically in the middle of the storage area for said sandwhich shop…which was not ideal. We were constantly dodging the workers just to get through the front door, and sometimes they would get fussy and upset at us for just being there even though we were polite. With a language barrier to begin with this was just awkward and inconvenient, definitely was a little misleading in the listing. I will say we did see one mouse on our last day, but that feels to be expected.

The bedroom was fine; the bathroom modern and lovely.But the entrance door from the street is unnumbered and was almost totally blocked from view by the crowds sitting and standing in the very busy restaurant next door, which did bear the number 10. Since the restaurant had the same address as the apartment, we went inside only to be screamed at by the owner, who, in the midst of her tirade, told us twice what a terrible President we had. This is not the apartment owner’s responsibility but they should put the number 10 on the door and plainly instruct the client NOT to go in the restaurant but use the adjacent door immediately to the right of the restaurant.The biggest issue is that inside the outside door is a tiny area that looks like a slum. That’s where the exceptionally narrow, winding and thus dangerous steps led to our apartment. My wife abd I are in our mid-70’s and would never have agreed to stay here if we knew we had to negotiate those horrible stepsir if we had seen a photo of the disgusting looking entry way.Another big issue is that we called the service number advertised as offering help seven days a week until 11 PM. Despite repeated calls long before 11 PM (we needed the wifi code), no one EVER answered and we NEVER received a call back. We also sent an email advertised as offering help and received no response until the next day. And the response we did receive was unaccompanied by any apology for the belated nature of the response.

I am so terribly disappointed. When I first considered the property, I was concerned that there was a property manager & I could not correspond to the host. To start, the property manager, Belavilla, took my 2nd payment earlier than agreed-upon; then I was stuck. When I requested an 11am early check-in, for my daughter. I was sent a link to pay 100. After paying, I was told the earliest check-in was 1pm. It took 10 days to get the 100 refund. We NEVER had Wi-Fi; very disruptive. I wrote EVERY day. I rec’d emails asking for patience. Belavilla, NEVER resolved anything. I used all my data. No TV because no Wi-Fi. Only the hand-held spray on the shower worked. There were only 2 big towels & 1tiny soap for 2 adult women for a 7-day stay. The refrigerator did not stay on consistently. There is no instructions for the stovetop; when I googled it, I still could not make the stovetop work. My food went uneaten. I left a full carton of eggs in the refrigerator. Only 1 flat sheet is on the bed, so your sheet does not stay on the mattress, & your body is against the comforter. The stairwell (34 steps) is unsafe for a sr. citizen to go up & down. It was impossible to bring luggage up stairs. The stairwell is damaged & frightening. The apartment is smaller than appears in pictures. My warning is the complete lack of responsiveness of the property manager and the inability to speak to any host. VRBO promised me that the property manager would be OK yet that was not true. Do not stay!!

My experience was very bad. I wrote to Belavilla before, during, an even now at the airport. I believe AI is sending automatic emails. None of my problems were resolved. We never had any Wi-Fi. This caused my daughter and I major problems. Our high-speed data was used up immediately. We had to spend money to buy more data, which was even low speed and therefore was very ineffective. No wi-fi caused problemin planning the day, and communicating with others. The TV therefore did not work. We told Belavilla that the refrigerated does not stay on. You push a button, the refrigerator goes on. You come back a few hours later and your food is lukewarm. No instructions or assistance in using the stove top therefore my food went uncooked and therefore uneaten. The shower has no ability to shift from a handheld device to a overhead shower. There are other problems as well. I would not use this apartment as the stairwell has 34 tiny steps from the bottom to the apartment; it is nearly impossible to bring luggage up and down the staircase. I am a senior citizen and this was extremely dangerous. Two towels for two adult women for seven days. No laundry detergent to wash the towels. Though I wrote to Belavilla every day, I was asked to have patience. Even after checking out, Belavilla apologized but no action. I recommend you stay away from this apartment. I recommend you stay away from any apartment where Belavilla is the integrated property manager.

This property was adequate overall. It was clean and matched the photos; however, it would have been helpful if the listing had disclosed that the stairs are very narrow, winding, and steep, as carrying luggage upstairs was quite difficult.The property could also use some maintenance. The shower handle was broken, and only the handheld sprayer was functional. Additionally, as other guests have mentioned, the blinds do not fully cover the windows, resulting in limited privacy.Another consideration is that the restaurant on the ground floor is very busy and can be noisy at times.
