Please note that the property only accepts Friday check-ins for week long and weekend bookings, three day weekends on peak holiday periods and bank holidays. Ballarat House is over three floors consisting of a lower-ground kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, a lower-ground sitting area with wood burning stove and Smart TV, a kitchen with a range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwashers, and coffee maker, a dining area, and a sitting area with a Smart TV and wood burning stove. The bedrooms consist of 1 x lower-ground king-size 2 x first floor king-size 2 x twin (zip/link, can be super-king-size on request) on the mezzanine level one above and one down from the main bedrooms. serviced by a bathroom, ground-floor shower room, and a lower-ground bathroom. Outside, is an enclosed patio with furniture, barbecue and roadside parking available. A further private patio area on a lower level. Within 0.1 miles you will find a shop, 0.2 miles a pub and 0.6 miles a beach. Two, well-behaved dogs are allowed. Sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Town: Margate, a seaside holiday resort set on the east coast of Kent, has undergone much renovation, and boasts the new Turner Contemporary gallery. This historic seaside town, with its Theatre Royal dating back to 1787, offers entertainment for everyone, from fishing and golf to beaches and amusements. You can wander along the Margate Harbour Arm and Old Town to browse artists' studios, relax in one of the many bars or restaurants or hire a bike. For the more adventurous there is a Turner and Dickens walk taking you to Broadstairs four miles away. The Shell Grotto, with its 2000 square feet of winding underground passages, delights visitors while the Hornby Visitor Centre brings back the nostalgia of Britain's best loved toys. Dreamland is also worth exploring with any little ones or those in search of old fashioned fun, with its traditional seaside attractions and vintage fairground. Margate is a lovely coastal town retaining its history but offering up-to-date entertainment for all ages with a variety of interests.
