Miners Rest consists of a kitchen with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, breakfast bar, a dining room with a dining table, a sitting area with Smart TV and woodburning stove, and a cloakroom with basin, heated towel rail, WC, washing machine, and tumble dryer. The bedrooms consist of a double and triple bunk (single above, double below), both with TVs. There is a bathroom with bath, shower over, basin, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a non-enclosed front garden with gravel and patio, an enclosed rear garden with patio, gravel, furniture, and free roadside parking on Glanypwll Road. The main local attractions include Zip World Slate caverns, the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, this is a great underground adventure. The slate mines now hold the prestigious status of a world heritage site, awarded by UNESCO and visitors can take enthralling underground trips there to see mining as it was done in days gone by. The famous narrow gauge Ffestiniog mountain railway also runs for 13 miles through the Snowdonia National Park to the harbour town of Porthmadog. Nearby is Portmeirion village, famous for its architecture and the film set of the cult TV series The Prisoner, plus local beaches, suitable for children, are within easy driving distance.
