This place has everything!

This vacation chalet is like being home. The owners clearly love this house and have stocked it so thoughtfully. The kitchen has everything, the game room is fabulous, and we had more than enough space for all 13 of us. You cannot beat the proximity to the mountain without being at a trail accessible condo. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay another day!

Weekend Stay

The house was spacious and clean on arrival. The kids loved the game room with a pool table, darts, and foosball table. There were plenty of board games and baby toys as well. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of towels. Good zoned heating options. The TV was large and the living room a great hang out spot for the 10 of us. In the basement, lots of ski gear and clothing in case you forget anything, though we didn't use any of it. Location was great, you have a view of the slopes. We dug a hole in the snow bank to easily cross over to the parking lot and walk to the base lodge each day. Kitchen was mostly well-stocked, though we could have used more forks. We were told aluminum foil is not provided, so be sure to bring some if you think you may need it. Only one trash bag was provided. I called twice to ask for additional trash bags but no one followed up, so we had to take bags from the bathroom -this was frustrating. In addition the gas grill has a leak, I called this in as well. Never heard back from anyone. Window in the game room is broken and fixed with tape. Although there is space for 3-4 cars, listing states only one car is allowed. I would suggest increasing this to at least 2 cars for a house that sleeps 10. All in all we had a great stay, these are all easy things to fix to make it even better.

Amazing ski cabin!

We had an awesome stay here. It was so convenient being able to walk right to the mountain and being 5 mins to all the restaurants was great! The house was clean, well kept, and was stocked with towels and blanket The fireplace was very cozy, and game room was a hit! I could not recommend this place enough!

Beautiful House- Perfect for a group wanting to chill

Its a very beautiful house in a great locality. We enjoyed the recreation room. House was very clean and had a nice backdrop with the ski mountains behind. Perfect for a group of 7 or more. We ended up spending a lot more time at this place than going out as we liked it a lot.

The house was over all ok Spacious The game room was nice with huge glass Windows. I never got check out instructions I tried calling the property managers phones provided on the welcome binder were disconnected another person was no longer employed with the company. I called Vacasa and no response back sent an email regarding check out I got it at 10:30pm meanwhile checkout was at 10AM! Overall everything else was ok

Great family vacation!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was a beautiful home. Loved the game room! Everything was great. One thing to note was we needed more than one garbage can outside. Luckily we ate out every night. Thank you again for a great home for a family of 7 on a much needed vacation!!

Quiet wooded getaway in mountainous Maine

Vacasa was our property manager and they were wonderful, responsive, polite and made our stay easy. The lodge was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities, facilities and fun extras like the pool and fussball table, with piping music in a sunlit game area. The township of Newry has a lot to offer and there was fun trailriding, hiking, boating and secluded beaches nearby. The surrounding towns had wonderful food and you are a quick shot to Portland. A great location and lodge.

Good for the group

Good location for the SouthRidge base area, can walk to lodge and lift. Game room was a great activity space for the group, we had seven adults and there was plenty of room, kitchen needs the once over but was usable. Overall good spot for a few days of skiing.

Nice house. Great location.

Nice house in good condition. Game room is fun. Can walk from house through a bit of terrain to get to side of main Sunday River parking lot. May have to climb snow pile from plowing of the parking lot, but was not a problem for us.

Noisy heater, but would return

The house was perfect for our family - 3 adult couples + 1 teenage boy. We especially loved the game room. The only complaint is that the heater makes a very loud banging noise which woke us up throughout the night. Maintenance responded quickly and professionally and explained that that's mainly due to the type of heating system, but it is probably louder than average even for that type of system. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine. Convenient to the slopes, though we chose to drive rather than walk through the deep snow to the lot. Would stay again, despite the minor flaws.
