Charming Georgian Cottage with Terrace
Holly Cottage is a Georgian Grade II listed home situated in the heart of Totnes. It is a delightful two-bedroom property perfect for a young family, couple’s retreat or small group escape. Central to the bustling market town of Totnes, perfectly located for accessing what South Devon has to offer. Tastefully decorated and comfortably furnished throughout. From a secluded terrace with views of the historic castle, to an open fire, this is the perfect property no matter the season in Devon.
Here at Your Devon Escape we intend to leave you alone to enjoy your stay but are on hand to answer any questions you might have.
Holly Cottage is located a short walk from Totnes High Street. Enjoy all the wonderful shops, restaurants and bars it has to offer. The town is famous for its independently minded businesses and shops. You can enjoy a relaxing amble along the River Dart, looking out for lots of wildlife including otters and seals.
The town offers many attractions perfect for all ages. Check out the Totnes Museum to understand the local history, the Rare Breeds Farm to learn about different animals or hop on the South Devon Steam Railway to enjoy the Devon countryside.
Further afield, there are many villages and pubs waiting to be explored. Nearby natural attractions include some of the best beaches in the UK, the splendour of Dartmoor National Park and the stunning English Riviera.
Holly Cottage provides an ideal location for rest, relaxation and exploring all that the county has to offer.
As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, where every detail has been thoughtfully curated to ensure your stay is nothing short of magical. The living room is cosy but spacious, offering a comfortable sofa and chair to seat up to four people. The focus of the room is the open fire, ideal for winter nights. For entertainment there is Freeview TV, DVD, Playstation Two and MP3 Dock, or you can choose from one of the books or board games and get cosy together.
The country kitchen provides everything you need to create culinary delights including an impressive Rangemaster oven, a fridge freezer, washing machine and microwave. It boasts a breakfast bar, sofa and a large table that can seat up to six people. Enjoy family suppers sharing your favourite memories of the day.
Both bedrooms are a peaceful sanctuary of comfort and style, designed to provide a restful night’s sleep after an exciting day of exploration. The master bedroom is fitted with a comfortable double bed, chair, dressing table, and wardrobe. It has ample space to fully unpack and settle in. There are two windows providing lots of beautiful natural light. The second bedroom is a twin room with a chest of drawers and plenty of storage with a fitted wardrobe. Pretty linens and tasteful furnishings add to the ambiance touches of this cottage.
Located next to the twin room is the family-sized bathroom. Alongside the basin and toilet, it has a fitted shower and screen over the bath. Enjoy a quick rinse after a day at the beach or a bubble bath after a busy day of exploring.
At the top of the stairs, between the two bedrooms, sits a small conservatory. Open the doors and enjoy this outdoor space at the foot of Totnes Castle. It is the perfect spot for alfresco dining, or a glass of your favourite tipple after a day of exploring.
