Great house in a great location

The house was clean and as advertised upon arrival. Having 2 separate suites was convenient and accommodating. We had the pool to ourselves one of the days. Would stay here again.

Adorable house but needs maintenance

Cute house and decorated to welcome, which was great. Updates need to be done in the upstairs bath (cracked tiles in shower and floor is sinking). We mainly stayed downstairs except when we played pool so that didn't bother us but if we had had another party or our children with us that would have been unacceptable.

Very nice house

House was very clean and we liked the floor plan. Nicely decorated, well equipped and we enjoyed our stay. We liked the location a little outside from Gatlinburg. Got only 4 stars because WiFi was extremely slow (no streaming possible, property management said its related to dish satellite internet and they work on improving it) and no reception for T-Mobile, only 1 bar for Verizon did not allow for hotspot either. Hot tub is great but has little privacy from the street and likely from neighbors once leaves fall.

Did not meet expectations

The property is run down. The floors and counter tops were dirty, the hot tub didn't heat up past 75 degrees, upstairs shower smelled like mildew, living floor has a cracked hole and is weak so we avoided walking by it. The mattresses make a crunching sound like plastic, and none of the fireplaces worked. We would not want to stay there again.

False advertisement on VRBO

We specifically booked this property due to the “5 minute walk” to the local attractions. When I hit the map on the page, the directions also showed it was a short walk to everything; we found this to be untrue when we arrived but it was too late to cancel. My 17-year-old son was stuck in the cabin for most of the time and unable to meet his friends on the parkway (again, this was the only reason we booked). After reading the reviews, this is an issue going back to 2021. We also emailed the property directly and were told they have reached out to VRBO to change their ads but to no avail. Money and time wasted.

Good cabin. Falsely advertised location

The cabin was very nice and clean, no problems there. However at the time i booked the cabin the location was set almost right in the gatlinburg strip. However i found out on the way to the cabin that it was actually located higher up in the mountain. We booked the cabin because it said it was in walking distance. Being over 21 we wanted to be safe and not drink and drive. we would’ve just stayed at a hotel had we known how far it was. We ended up having to spend an arm and a leg on ubers and i notified the property manager and they were cordial but told me i would need to contact vrbo for compensation. I contacted vrbo and they said the same thing about the property management. All i know is i didn’t make the location error and it says no refunds on the website unless it’s 31 days before and i booked the cabin about 2 weeks before i left so i’m not asking for full refund at all but a reimbursement for the ubers we had to pay for on behalf of a location error created but someone that’s not myself, i feel like that is fair. i’m just very disappointed we already paid a lot for the cabin thinking we would be able to walk and ended up having to uber there and back because 1 hour and 32 minutes doesn’t seem like walking distance to me. I was trying to be cordial and solve the problem so i could leave a nice review but it didn’t work that way.

Great cabin. It worked perfect for two adult couples since it has two master suites. Cabin is in good shape and well kept. Only small items that could use some improvement are the pool table and air hockey table. It looks like these have seen better days and you can’t really use either one. This did not take away from our vacation, just noting so it can be improved or noted.

Great Location

We were very happy with the house and location. My 1 and only issue was the trash pick up instructions. My party was elderly and did not have strength in our hands to open the rusted lock on the bear proof bin. I contacted the host leaving a call back phone number so I could find out about the trash. I never received a return call making it unable to address the issue.

Disappointing and Misleading Stay

The cabin itself was nice, but the location was extremely misleading. The listing claimed it was a 5-minute walk to the Gatlinburg strip — in reality, it was over a 15-minute drive and about a 1.5-hour walk. This completely threw off our plans for the weekend, which was meant to be a special one as I was proposing to my girlfriend.Relying on Ubers (which were hard to get and costly) added unexpected stress and expense. Because of this major discrepancy, I had to alter parts of my proposal plans, making the experience very disappointing.As a first-time VRBO user, this left a bad impression. If something as simple and verifiable as the distance to town was misrepresented, it makes you wonder what else you can’t trust. Not sure if I’ll book with Eden Resorts or VRBO again.

Perfectly positioned paradise

The time there

It was a beautiful place. The fireplaces in the bedrooms did not work the hot water was not the best at all it did not stay hot enough to even fill the tub 1/2 way. The hot tub was not hot till right before we left. Other than that the place was beautiful and very clean
