Carolyn is an excellent hostess… she is very easy to communicate with and answers questions quickly.The house is right across the street from Slaughter Beach … so convenient. We had WiFi and there was a TV set that has most streaming apps available (for Log In). The playground and basketball court was adjacent to the backyard! Perfect for kids.

Overall, everything was good. The only thing that was a turnoff was the smell of the shower water. It had a distinct smell of sulfur. It did not make rinsing off after a hot day very pleasant. Again, everything else was great.

I loved being right across the street from the beach. It was nice being able to visit and take walks often. It was a nice little getaway and worked perfectly for our family and our dog. Thank you, we can’t wait to visit again.

Great, cozy home, so close to a nice quiet beach. House had everything we needed, and easy access to all the destinations we wanted to get to in Delaware, (Cape May-Lewes Ferry, Rehoboth Beach). Very quiet and peaceful location. The owners were very accessible and helpful. Would stay here again!

Great House with Easy Beach Access

We had a really lovely stay, the house had everything we needed. Parking and check-in are both super easy and the host is very helpful and responsive, and familiar with the area. The beach is easily accessible and the house had everything we needed (including WiFi and a fully useable kitchen and fridge). A short drive away to many of the main attractions.

A relaxing, remote location with easy access to the beach for morning & evening walks. Plenty of room for us to unwind and have low-key family time, yet close enough to beaches and boardwalk to enjoy sun, surf, and shopping. Our host, Carolyn, went above and beyond to address and resolve a WiFi outage, and was a joy to meet.

The host was upfront that the unit had not been cleaned in a couple of weeks. The place was clean(ish), but there were some webs, and it was dusty but manageable. Some leftover condiments in the fridge and dishes (cleanish) in the dishwasher. The host was very helpful when I realized I had forgotten towels (but I brought sheets); they let us use their towels at no cost. The location was perfect! Literally steps to Slaughter Beach (across the quiet road) and down just a bit. The upper unit was occupied; however, we never heard or saw anyone, so it was very private.NOTE that the water has a very strong smell. We brought bottled water (I do not know if the unit water is safe to consume). Taking a shower left the scent clinging to our hair and skin.

This is a great space for a relaxed time at the beach. Beach access is across the street and the park is next door, with a great little playground for kids to burn energy. Location could not be more convenient. The host was communicative throughout as well. The apartment has everything needed but we did feel we left it a bit cleaner than we found it. Other than that, it was great.

Family getaway

The host was easy to communicate with. We brought our family and dogs and had a great time. There was much space for kids and dogs to run around outside the home. It was a short walk to the waterfront and comvenient to nearby beaches. We would recommend to others!

Family Memories

It was a very spacious home. It felt like a home away from home. Just a short walk to Slaughter Beach where you can sit and relax and enjoy the scenery or take a walk along the shore or jump in for a swim. Our host, Carolyn was very gracious and thoughtful. Answering all our questions and assuring us that we could contact her with any concerns. It was a very pleasurable stay where memories were created.

Very nice location. It was very dirty. The host informed me that the cleaner went to the hospital the day before our arrival. She messaged me once and asked if I'd get out 8 towels for the upstairs guests. There was only one in the chest where they were supposed to be.Then on my next to the last day the people above me must have decided to throw a party. There were at least 8 vehicles parked outside, yes they parked me in! Running around and jumping upstairs was intolerable . We got up before daylight the next day and left!

Wonderful, quiet, right near beach!

We LOVED our stay in this house. It was across the street from the beach and very quiet. We felt like we had a private beach! The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The bedrooms had lamps, tables, and linens. The kitchen had lots of dishes, pots and pans and even bottled water for drinking. We had plenty of space for our family and even room for my brother's families to visit. The owner was very helpful and responded very quickly when I needed with Wifi code. There was lots of parking and I love that the beach was right across the street! The beach was very quiet and it felt like our own private beach. There was a parking lot on the beach, a picnic pavilion with 6 tables, and a shower for your feet. The house also had a shower for your feet. I will definitely stay here again.
