The hosts are incredibly thoughtful and kind people, they even took time out of their day to give a little tour of the area and educated us on some of the local history. The cabin is very charming with excellent views in a remote area.
This cabin was just what we needed! It was beautiful and quaint with a great fire pit. The hosts were wonderful! They made sure we were comfortable and always had firewood to spare! We will definitely consider staying here again next year!
Traveled to NC for my Dad’s funeral and afterwards, my wife, son and I spent 3 nights at Pine Ridge Chalet just getting away and decompressing. We picked this cabin because they allowed cats and we have an adventure cat that loves to hike. Truly a rustic cabin in a secluded setting. The hosts have it supplied for every contingency. Don’t worry if you forget something; it will most likely already have one. They pretty much thought of everything. It was cold outside there the first night but they had it full of the warmest blankets and quilts. Nice fire pit area with gliders and chairs but there was a statewide fire ban so we didnt light it up. But we sat out under the stars anyway. Was early spring so most of the trees on the property hadn’t leafed out yet. So we didn’t get to see all the usual mountain foilage. On the other hand, it opened the night sky in all its moon and stars glory. Our cat enjoyed the “mushroom” path on the property that ran down to the stream. She had us take her three times. Was a short distance to the Mt Pisgth trailhead for some more strenuous trails, Biltmore Village, and the Breweries on South slope downtown Asheville.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The cabin is very relaxing and secluded, but close to Everything at the same time. Everything was very clean and we would stay again if back in the area!

The cabin is adorable and very clean! We loved the wood burning fireplace. It had everything we needed to cook several meals at the cabin. We couldn't find the dish soap and the owner's dad dropped some off for us along with some yummy bread - thank you!
We arrived after dark and it's a bit treacherous going up the mountain the first time, but the owners were looking out for us and helped us get there safely. Great owners who know the area well and were just so helpful! The location was perfect for us, since it was quiet and secluded, but a short drive to Asheville and the surrounding tourist spots. Thanks to Roger and Denise--we will stay again!!!
Wonderful, secluded, comfortable 3-bedroom cabin. No cell service but good internet We made good use of the firepit. We spent our days hiking off the Blue Ridge Parkway and our nights in the comfort of the cabin. Highly recommended.

Thank you so for the kind words and we’re happy you enjoyed your stay! Know you are welcome anytime :)
Our family stayed and had a great time. We were very close to Asheville and enjoyed an evening downtown. The boys woke up Saturday and ran a Spartan just east of Asheville. The girls woke up to enjoy the sunrise at Max Patch. It was a great central location for our adventures. The hosts were great.
I wanted a place that was wooded and in the mountains. That is exactly what I got. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Thank you for for your kind words and we do hope you’ll visit with us again!
The cabin is extremely cute and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful. The first night we noticed that the grill was in poor shape and the owners promptly brought us a grill for us to use. We will be back.
Owners were wonderful. The cabin had everything we needed and more. So very peaceful. The road up was not what we expected, a little heads up would have been nice. Our van scraped a few times but we got in down in a day or 2. Would definitely stay again.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we welcome you back anytime. The road isn’t usually that rough and we’re sorry about that as there are loggers in the area using the road also. Hope to see ya soon!

Great weekend away!
We enjoyed our time at this cabin very much! We came down to do some mountain biking and attend Beer Camp and had our dogs with us. This cabin gave us lots of room and had a gated porch so our pups could safely be outside with no fear of running off. Felt very much like we were off the grid (although there is wireless) and that's not at all a bad thing! Thanks for everything!
Cabin was rustic as we expected and wanted. Everything we needed was available.
Just some suggestions to improve the stay would be to have dry firewood available for the fireplace, some additional tree removal around the driveway to make it easier to climb the mountain. Some spots my truck barely fit through. Better heating on the lower level as all the warm air rises in the opening above the living room. Other than those minor suggestions, it was a beautiful place to spend our family time.
We just had a wonderful stay at this adorable cabin. There was plenty of space for the 6 of us (2 adults, 4 kids). Also, I may have missed this in the listing but there is a futon in the tv loft area upstairs. This was perfect as we were able to separate out our 6 year old boy and 7 year old girl into seized sleeping areas, while the 11 and 13 year old girls shared a room. The koi pond in the property was loads of fun for the kids. The Glenn’s are the sweetest hosts, being by baked goodies and toys gif the kids. We’ll stocked kitchen and cabin. Comfortable beds. Great hiking trails 40-45 min away and Asheville less than 30 min away too, so location was ideal. It’s a true gem.
This location is secluded but only minutes away from town and easy to get to. The cabin was bigger then I thought it would be. The screened in porch was wonderful to relax, listen to the stream, or sit in the mornings with a coffee. It’s decor is perfect and you can tell the owners personal touch to each room. We loved everything about the cabin. Owners were perfectly caring of us also. They left fresh homemade rolls for us after we checked in.
The driveway is a little intimidating the first time but their signs are very clear after doing it a couple times, it was easy. We went hiking and whitewater rafting and checked out some parts of Asheville. Even walked down the drive to the main road and back and that was a good hike too.
Thank you for the great experience.

We enjoyed our stay! It was secluded and quiet just how we like it. We took day trips to hike, visit Asheville and toured the Biltmore. The owners were very sweet and gave us a friendly greeting when we got there.

About the host
Hosted by Denise Glenn
Larry & Gay Glenn (my wonderful In laws) had always wanted a little place by a mountain stream. They just happen to come across 13 acres on the mountain just at the base of Mount Pisgah with two small cottages. They had to get it! (purchased in 2000) They enjoyed the sounds of the stream, the birds, and just the beauty all around Them. That is when they decided to build a couple Log Cabins on above their cottage for others to enjoy as well. So, contact Me, Denise Glenn and I hope you'll come stay and see for yourself what Dad & Mother love so much about this place!!
Why they chose this property
The peace and quiet, the beauty of nature with the tall hardwood trees and the beautiful creek.
What makes this property unique
Listening to the mountain stream, seeing the mountain laurel in full bloom as well as other wildflowers, hearing the woodpeckers and other birds that fill the trees surrounding us. Walking around the property..... visiting Larry's small trout pond (sorry not for fishing). Just relaxing in the rocking chair on the porch and mostly enjoy family and friendship!
