Sea View Cottage, 10 mins walk to the beach, no WiFi or phone signal!
Foss Cottage is a lovely self-catering holiday cottage in the popular village of East Prawle. It is situated at the southern-most tip of Devon between Salcombe and Dartmouth, near the sea on the South Devon coast facing south and looking out over the English Channel between Prawle Point and Start Point. You can see the sea while lying in bed in the main bedrooms.
There is a large front garden with flower beds and terraces for sunbathing and eating out. At the west of the cottage is an orchard, also with lovely views and room for children to play.
The cottage’s four bedrooms will sleep up to seven adults (eight at a push) plus two children.
Please note that although there is a landline, there is no wi-fi or phone signal in our cottage! Also there is no television. This is just how we like it, as do our guests, many of whom consider it a positive plus to spend their holidays off-grid. Both phone signal and wi-fi are available in the village, but if you need to be connected at all times then this is not the cottage for you.

About the host
Hosted by Nat Hunter
Foss belongs to three siblings and has been a family holiday home since 1971. We love it and go as often as we can, but, partly to help with upkeep but also because we prefer other people to share it rather than leave it closed, we let it out for a part of the year. Some of us live in London and some as far away as Chile, but we have a wonderful local housekeeper.
Why they chose this property
There are many glorious beaches, some sandy, some rocky, some shingle, some accessible by car, all along the coast. You can take your pick and vary the beach you go to each day, if you like.
What makes this property unique
Sitting on the terrace watching the sea is truly magical. You are completely cut off from the world, but only 5 minutes walk to the village with very lively pub, cafe and shop. Although there are are no screens of any kind in the cottage, wifi can be found in the pub, and phone signal on the village green.
