Salmon Cottage is single-storey and consists of a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle and toaster, a living/dining room with a Smart TV and dining table with seating for six people. The bedrooms include a super-king-size and a twin serviced by a bathroom. Outside there is an enclosed rear garden as well as roadside parking on a first-come first-served basis. Three well-behaved dogs are welcome, but sorry, no smoking. You will find a shop in 0.2 miles and a pub in 0.1 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. 2 West Street has all the promise of making your Northumberland escape truly memorable. Note: The parking is on a first-come, first-served basis

Town: The historic village of Norham is most famous for its splendid Norman Castle ruins overlooking the River Tweed, painted by Turner in 1845. The village has an excellent butcher and bakery, a Post Office, grocer, newsagent and two pubs. Also nearby in the village of Allanton is a good restaurant which is great for fishing and shooting parties as well as the Cross Inn at Paxton. Berwick-upon-Tweed is just 7 miles away, at the northern tip of Northumberland’s beautiful Heritage Coast, boasting many restaurants, cafes, pubs and a nearby links golf course. The Scottish capital of Edinburgh or the city of Newcastle are easily accessed by train from Berwick. A superb base for exploring all North Northumberland has to offer.
