Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
We stayed as a family from August 16–22. The check-in process was disorganized—we were told to go to a different address than the actual location. We waited 20 minutes on the street before someone arrived and walked us to the correct location.The room was three feet below ground and felt like a prison cell—cramped, dark, and filled with metal fixtures. The futon was on a stained mattress with no cover, and the whole place was dirty. I had to clean for two hours—mopping sandy floors, cleaning the fridge, and dusting everything. The bedding was inadequate: wrinkled sheets, no covers, and a blanket that smelled like sweat, which was taken for cleaning but never returned.The bathroom was moldy, and we saw large 2 inch cockroaches on two separate days. Dishes in the cupboard were glued in place and unusable.Noise from adjacent construction (scheduled through 2026) was unbearable. Drilling started early each day at 8:30 am, during the supposed quiet hour policy from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM, shaking the wall by our heads and dropping debris from the wall onto the bed.The sleeping setup was unsafe. The mezzanine bed had little to no railing and was accessed by a steep ladder with no handholds. We constantly bumped our heads on the ceiling beams as the ceiling was 4 feet high. The futon below was also on a dirty mattress and accessed via a narrow, awkward stairway that forced you to duck under a metal beam.Overall, this accommodation should be re-evaluated for safety compliance.
