About this property

5-Bed Coastal House · Sleeps 10 · Anglesey

Summary:

A heritage coastal house sleeping up to ten guests, perched above the rugged shoreline of Amlwch. Designed for gathering, it offers generous spaces to share meals, play a game of pool, and unwind together. Outside, soak in the hot tub with sea views stretching to the horizon, while eight acres of private land provide plenty of room to roam and explore. As evening falls, gather around the warmth of the wood-burning stove and settle into the slower pace of coastal life.

The Space:

The Space:

Millbank carries its history lightly. Built in 1784 at the heart of Anglesey’s “Copper Kingdom”, it is now a relaxed house for up to ten, made for the rhythm of a group holiday. Mornings are slow, coffee in the big kitchen, breakfast drifting on for hours. Days scatter to the coast and gather back for long dinners at the table or evenings in the games room over pool and cards. Five double bedrooms, four bathrooms (one with a copper tub) give everyone their space; the wood-burning stove warms up the lounge when the sea's wind gets up. Outside, eight acres reach toward the water, with a barbecue, a pergola and a hot tub for stargazing soaks. It is a house for the people you love: reunions, big birthdays, slow family weeks, with Anglesey’s coastline, history and famous lobster close at hand.

The Neighborhood:

Ynys Môn | Isle of Anglesey

Anglesey is known for its unspoilt coastline, open landscapes and slower pace of life, much of it protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The island boasts a rich diversity of plant and animal life, and its famed Coastal Path circles the shoreline, revealing clifftop walks, quiet coves and wide sandy beaches at every turn.

Millbank stands above Amlwch on Anglesey’s wild, less-trodden north coast, with eight acres.

The town’s copper story is on the doorstep: Parys Mountain, once the largest copper mine in the world, with its ochre, almost Martian landscape and way marked trails, and the restored Georgian harbour at Amlwch Port below.

The Anglesey Coastal Path traces these cliffs. Bull Bay, the ruined Porth Wen brickworks, Point Lynas lighthouse, with quiet coves and long sea views for walkers.

Cemaes and Church Bay offer sheltered swimming and good seafood. Beaumaris, Llanddwyn and the bridges to Eryri are all within an easy drive, but this stretch of coast keeps a rugged character of its own, fewer crowds, bigger horizons.

Getting Around:

There is so much to explore on the Isle of Anglesey and whereas there are good public transport links having a car in the best option to give the flexibility.

Other Things to Note:

Guests can request extra towels for longer stays for an extra £35, as well as hot tub towels that can be given when they arrive for an extra £30.

Safety:

- No children under 16 allowed in the hot tub

- No parties policy

- No smoking or vaping indoors

- No overnight visitors

- No loud music.

- No naked flames inside or outside the houses (other than bbq and fire pit area).

- Please let us know if anything gets broken during your stay.

Pet Policy

We’re pleased to welcome up to two well-behaved pets per stay.

A £25 per pet fee applies to allow for additional cleaning and care.

However, we kindly ask that they are supervised at all times. The road beside the property has a national speed limit, and there are a few spots where curious pups might find a way through. Your pet’s safety is important to us!

There are four bins in the property due to new laws announced on the 6th April 2024, there are signs on the fridge and bins themselves with instructions, if this is not done correctly, charges may be given to guests to correct this, this is obviously something we want to avoid so please follow instructions.
