An evening at the pub, walks through the Evenlode Valley and days out at nearby Blenheim Palace are what awaits you when you stay at Inglenook Cottage. Tucked away in the charming town of Charlbury which is easily reached by train, this Cotswold stone cottage is a quintessential English country getaway.
Inglenook Cottage is ideal for couples and multi-generational families that are looking to explore this area. The main cottage has been beautifully renovated to showcase typical Cotswold features while the annexe provides extra accommodation which is easily accessible. Blending the new with the old there are wooden beams and a large stone inglenook while each bathroom has a contemporary style. If you resist the temptations of the local eateries the kitchen awaits for homecooked meals and you can open the bi-fold doors for views of the peaceful garden. If you're looking for a relaxed holiday you can retreat to the sitting area in the annexe and get lost in a good book, or sit beside the fire to spend time together.
After your morning stroll into Charlbury for your pastry and coffee, you can sit in the garden and watch the world go by. There is a table and two chairs or just spread a blanket on the lawn and enjoy your peace and quiet.

Kitchen The traditional kitchen has been given a stylish twist with blue units and a fabulous range cooker. Whether you just want a quick breakfast or you're preparing a decadent three course meal, this kitchen has it covered. Set the four seater table for nibbles or the children can have this as their own space. With bi-fold doors that open to the garden you can expand the space and take drinks out to the garden.
Living/Dining Room Wooden flooring underfoot and beams above make this a cosy space. The inglenook fireplace with its woodburning stove is the perfect addition to evenings in as you sink into the comfortable sofas at the end of the day. There is a wall-mounted Smart TV and to one side is a dining table with two benches giving enough space for six to dine together.
Utility Alongside the kitchen is a utility where you will find a second fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Cloakroom Tucked away at the end the cloakroom has a WC and basin.

Amazing base for a family visit to the Cotswolds
Inglenook cottage is an amazing location to enjoy visiting the Cotswolds. We were a ground up family of 5 and it ticked all the boxes. Charlbury has the most amazing pubs for food and drink. My eldest daughter and her boyfriend were travelling out of London so we chose this location for train accessibility. Nothing disappointed

Met all my expectations!
Inglenook Cottage was perfect for my family and friends. We used the convenient trains and buses to see the surrounding area. And we walked and walked enjoying all the paths around! The house was comfortable and pleasant. My inquiries about how the heat and laundry machines worked were answered promptly. Charlbury met all our needs: walkable, convenient, great COOP and bars and restaurants. Bolthole was excellent to do business with. We’ll be back soon.
