About this property
Felin Hen - sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms
Originally built in the eighteenth century as a corn mill, it's had a varied history since including being as a workshop for the production of school writing slates. Indeed, the shoreline is still mostly made up of offcuts of these slates. Industry, and the ferry to the mainland, has long since come to an end at Pwllfanogl, leaving it as a peaceful and hidden creek where the world seems to have stood still and only a handful of waterside cottages remain.
lnside, the cottage combines rustic character with modern comforts. You'll find cosy living spaces as well as huge vaulted ceiling, a well-equipped kitchen and six inviting bedrooms – all designed to help you relax and feel at home. There's even a galleried library and table tennis area! Step outside to enjoy your morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the water, stroll along the coastal path, or watch the tide drift in from the Menai Strait just steps away. With Plas Newydd, Llanfair PG, the Marquis of Anglesey column and the iconic Britannia Bridge all within walking distance, Felin Hen offers the perfect base for exploring the history, culture, and natural beauty of Anglesey. Whether you're painting by the water, reading by the fire, or simply soaking in the serene surroundings, Felin Hen is more than a place to stay — it's a place to connect, reflect, and be inspired.

Great house to stay in. Rooms and all facilities were fabulous. Lovely position on the Menai Straits. Would recommend family groups to stay here any time of the year.
What a delightful family friendly house. We loved it, the kids found the three floors mysteriois and very explorable. The dogs enjoyed the coastal walk.
Great character property. Good parking for several cars. Easy check in. Couple of decent shorter walks straight from property. Really lovely base to explore Anglesey from, very peaceful surroundings but plenty of shopping available nearby. Definitely recommend and Definitely like to return.
We had a weeks holiday with 3 generations of family 8 adults and 2 young children plus our dogs . There was plenty of parking for our 4 cars . We found everything we could have needed in the home from utensils to pots and pans and cleaning products. The wine and biscuits welcome pack was a nice touch All rooms were spacious and clean we had a great time with the table tennis table and some of the games that were there . Some good walks from the house and nearest shop was probably a 15 minute walk a large tescos about 15 mins in the car We also had no problems ordering a takeaway to be delivered . The enclosed patio was great for the dogs and to sit out with a coffee watching the swans The only gripe we had was the lane coming down to the property was a bit bumpy and very easy to bottom the cars . But all in all a great stay on Anglesey for the first time
