Set in the very heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, The Lantern is a lovingly restored three-bedroom cottage spread across three floors. As a local husband-and-wife duo with two children, we’ve designed it with comfort, style and a genuine sense of welcome in mind.
The cottage sleeps six and is full of original charm, blended with thoughtful touches for modern living. Upstairs, you’ll find a spacious king-size bedroom with its own en-suite, as well as a bright double bedroom next to a family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower.
The third bedroom is a unique, self-contained space just off the kitchen — full of character, with beautiful arched brickwork and a tucked-away feel. It’s a favourite with guests who love a little extra privacy.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area is fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay, including an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave and coffee/tea-making facilities. There’s seating for six around the table, perfect for gathering, dining, and planning your adventures.
On the first floor, the lounge offers comfy seating for the whole group and a peaceful spot to unwind after exploring the Cotswold hills or wandering by the river.
Outside, enjoy your own private front garden and rare off-street parking for two cars — a real bonus in the village. Fast WiFi, Smart TV, and a warm personal welcome are all included.
We live just around the corner if you need anything — and are always happy to share recommendations for the best places to eat, walk, and explore.
