About this property
HATHERLOW - Idyllic Private Retreat in Charming Wedmore
Hatherlow is a spacious 4-bedroom home nestled in the historic village of Wedmore on a quiet road with no through traffic. The house offers comfort and style for families, couples, and small or large groups alike, It has enjoyed a fully comprehensive renovation, completed in August 2025.
No worries if you are a group of 4 or fewer guests, as the base price is calculated on 4 person occupancy, and the final price will depend on the actual number of guests in your group. We are also able to provide you with a cot and/or highchair for infants if required.
Wedmore is perfectly located close to many local attractions and activities that are suited for all ages and tastes. For international holidaymakers wanting to see a mythical and historic and part of Britain (that is not London for a change) Bristol International Airport serves many destinations, and is only half an hour's drive from the house.
Hatherlow is a 145 m2 house situated on a plot of 1,015 m2, with views over open fields from the rear garden lawn and patio, while the large front garden is shielded by trees and hedges, lending the space a heightened sense of privacy and serenity.
Exterior entertainment areas include a large deck with gas-fired barbecue (perfect for alfresco dining) two lawns, a hammock, a large patio, and a 15 m2 summerhouse, ideal for yoga, working out, games, quiet reading, Internet surfing or streaming movies from your laptop onto the external monitor provided.

The patio has a fire pit and atmospheric exterior lighting that can be turned off for star-gazing, as there is very little light pollution. The front garden has up-light illumination for the trees providing a magical touch to evenings on the deck.
The house has a fully-equipped brand new open-plan kitchen with breakfast bar that connects with the indoor and outdoor dining areas. The indoor dining room table is expandable from a 4-seater to be able to cater for 12. This allows for a lot of flexibility in eating and seating arrangements.
